Terms and Conditions
Passengers booking IndiGo flights have the option to pre-pay handling fees for up to three (3) items of sports equipment (including, skiing equipment, golf bags, bicycles, surf boards, snow boards, water skis and scuba diving equipment) per passenger per journey online (“Service”). The Service is not available for group bookings.
₹1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only) is payable as the sports equipment handling fee (inclusive of taxes) per equipment (checked-in baggage) per passenger per journey (“Fees”), in case of domestic travel.
IndiGo will not accept items of sports equipment with dimensions greater than the following dimensions:
Depending on the dimension of the items of sports equipment, such items may be loaded onto the flight in a tilted position at IndiGo’s discretion.
The Service is currently only available for travel on domestic sectors.
The Fees can be paid through IndiGo’s website (www.goindigo.in) either at the time of booking, or at any time thereafter, until six (6) hours before the scheduled departure of the flight.
The Service is not available on IndiGo’s ATR aircraft or to passengers holding "Lite Fare" tickets or an equivalent offering.
The weight of such sports equipment will count towards the calculation of a passenger’s permissible baggage allowance and standard excess baggage charges, if applicable, will be levied over and above the Fees. Please click here for further information about excess baggage charges.
The Service is non-refundable, non-cancellable and non-transferable. The Fees will be refunded only in case of cancellation of the flight booking for the passenger against whose name such Service has been purchased, or cancellation of the entire flight booking by the passenger or the flight being cancelled by IndiGo.
IndiGo reserves the right to: (i) modify the terms of this Service, or to replace (wholly or in part) the terms with another service (whether similar to this Service or not), or withdraw this Service, at any time, without giving any prior notice and/or assigning any reason. IndiGo's decision with respect to all matters relating to the Service, shall be final and binding.
By paying the Fees online, passengers: (i) unconditionally and irrevocably agree to these terms and conditions; and (ii) consent that all information provided by the passenger may be shared by IndiGo with its agents, representatives, service providers, employees, and may be used to send promotional information pertaining to IndiGo to the passenger, in future.
The Service will be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws in India, and all matters related to the Service are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi.
Citizens of Nepal and Maldives are eligible for tax exemption/reduction, as per applicable laws, on the airfare. In order to avail such tax exemption/reduction, passengers must declare their correct nationality at the time of booking. In case citizens of Nepal or Maldives intend to travel with any foreign nationals, such citizen (passenger) are requested to kindly book tickets for accompanying foreign national (passengers) in a separate PNR/ticket. Once selected, the nationality cannot be changed at any point during the booking process.
