6E Girl Power

At IndiGo, diversity and inclusivity are central to our operations, with women making up 44.4% of our workforce, leading key departments, and breaking gender barriers in aviation, while our CSR initiatives empower women and marginalized groups. At IndiGo, diversity and inclusivity are at the heart of our operations. We are dedicated to fostering a workplace where women are treated with equality, respect, and fairness. With 44.4% of our workforce being women, and nearly 19% of leadership positions held by women, we take pride in the significant role women play across all levels. Women lead key departments such as Inflight Services, Legal, iFly (IndiGo's learning academy), and Administration, demonstrating our commitment to gender equality. IndiGo is also a trailblazer in breaking gender barriers in the aviation industry. Women now occupy roles traditionally dominated by men, including engineering, ramp, baggage handling, and specialized marshal positions. Our women pilots make up 14% of our total pilots, among the highest globally, and our cabin crew is entirely female, with 99% of lead cabin attendants being homegrown. Through IndiGoReach, our CSR arm, we drive impactful women empowerment initiatives, helping rural women increase their incomes through agricultural and non-agricultural activities. We also focus on providing sustainable livelihoods to marginalized groups, including transgenders. Programs like #GivingWingsToFly , Take-Off 2.0 & 6E Girl Power- Women Community, support women’s career development and work-life balance, with initiatives such as on-site daycare and flexible working hours. IndiGo is proud to lead the way in creating a supportive, inclusive environment where women thrive, embodying the spirit of ‘Girl Power’ across our workforce.
