Where to Eat

AlBoom
Al Boom

It's not just any regular restaurant as it offers an experience. The restaurant is in the form of a boat that has been replicated from the Mohammedi I built in 1979 in Calicut, India. The place is a must visit for food explorers as they will find delicious Omani lobster, grilled Kuwaiti zubeidi fish and Gulf shrimp skewers to satiate their taste buds. It is recommended to make a reservation beforehand as the place is very popular.

While in Kuwait, a visit to famous Failaka Island must be included in your travel itinerary. Failaka Island is a beautiful island, located at a distance of 20 km from the Kuwait city. It preserves the essence of Kuwait from the past. Before the Iraqi invasion, it uses to be home to over 2000 residents. But after the attacks, many of the residents have left. You will witness damaged houses, schools, offices that will give insights about the severe repercussions of war this place had. It’s a great place for history lovers as the island has some interesting specimens from the Bronze age and Dilmun civilisations. The best time to visit the place is during the springtime because of pleasant weather, lively flora and blossoming flowers. You can also enjoy some water sports, sailing, boating, swimming and even fishing.
