1. What is India Business Travel Accident – Specially designed for IndiGo Passengers? 
India Business Travel Accident – Specially designed for IndiGo Passengers, is an insurance program that TATA AIG General Insurance Company Ltd offers to international passengers booking onwww.goindigo.in

1.  How do I purchase International Travel Insurance?
You can purchase India Business Travel Accident policy (International Travel Insurance), only while you are booking your flight/s on www.goindigo.inThe same is available on the purchase path while making a booking.

 

2.  Who can purchase India Business Travel Accident Policy?  
Any Indian international passenger traveling outside India can purchase India Business Travel Accident insurance policy, while booking their flight/s on www.goindigo.in.

Foreigner passengers holding passports of any other country other than India can purchase India Business Travel Accident policy only if they have a work or residence permit in India and are traveling from India.

 

3.  Is there an age limit to be covered under India Business Travel Accident Policy? 
Yes, the passenger must be at least six months on the date of travel. The Maximum age is 70 years of age as on date of travel.

 

4.  Can I purchase India Business Travel Accident Policy if I'm traveling for more than 90 days?  
No, India Business Travel Accident Policy covers the passenger/s for maximium period of 90 days from the date of inception of policy which is the date commencement of journey after booking their tickets on IndiGo. Incase of a round trip purchased on IndiGo the coverage will end with the return journey to the originating station or 90 days whichever is earlier.

 

5.  Am I still covered India Business Travel Accident Policy if I catch a connecting flight to a different destination
Coverage like trip cancellation, flight delay is only limited to flights booked through IndiGo. Other coverage is applicable during the validity period of the policy.

For example if you are traveling From Delhi to Bangkok on 1st Jan 09 via Mumbai. You would be entitled for benefits of trip cancellation and flight delay only on flight booked through IndiGo. For other mode of transport abroad you would be covered only for rest of the benefits.

 

6.  Who would be the beneficiary under this policy?     
Benefits will be paid to the Insured Person's bona fide legal heir in the event of loss of life under the Accident death and dismemberment Benefit. All other benefits will be payable to the Insured Person

India Business Travel Accident Policy is non-cancelable.

India Business Travel Accident Policy cannot be endorsed once issued even if you are postponing or extending your trip.

4.  Can I cancel my trip for any reason and get all my money back through my Trip Cancellation Benefit?  
The Trip Cancellation Benefit is only applicable for reasons covered in the full terms and conditions. Covered reasons include, but are not limited to, unforeseen emergencies such as illness, injury or death involving you, your travel companion and/or an immediate family member. Pre-existing Conditions are not covered.
