As we resume operations, considering the COVID-19 situation, different state governments have laid out their respective protocols for passengers arriving at their airports. Before you travel, make sure to read and understand the complete guidelines of the city/state you are travelling to and comply with the same so as to ease your travel plans. Departure city guidelines

 

  • Arogya Setu App must be downloaded and activated in passengers phone
  • web-check-in is mandatory
  • Passengers shall wear a mask at all time during the journey
  • Follow social distancing norms laid down by the airport operator
  • Thermal screening is mandatory while entering the airport
  • only asymptomatic passengers shall be allowed to travel

Arrival State Guidelines

    • Andaman and Nicobar Islands

    In Andaman & Nicobar, IndiGo flies to Port Blair.

    Health Screening:

    1. Thermal screening will be done for all passengers.
    2. All Incoming passengers arriving shall have to mandatorily carry RT-PCR negative test report issued from a ICMR approved lab, subject to condition that RT-PCR test should have been taken within 48 hours. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time.
    3. In addition to being in possession of negative RT-PCR report, all arriving passengers shall mandatorily undergo RT-PCR test upon arrival free of cost
    4. Passengers who are fully vaccinated i.e., those who have received both doses and completed 15 days from the receipt of the 2nd dose shall be exempted from pre-departure RT-PCR requirements and on arrival test procedures

    Quarantine:

    1. All passengers shall be required to undergo mandatory home or institutional quarantine till result of their on arrival test is released
    2. If any passenger tests positive will be sent for institutional quarantine for further treatment.

    Passenger Obligation:

    1. All passengers must download Aarogya Setu App
    2. RTPCR Negative test report within 48 hours of journey will continue to be mandatory. Any passenger not carrying RTPCR negative report will be sent back to origin on the same day.
    3. Passengers who are fully vaccinated i.e., those who have received both doses and completed 15 days from the receipt of the 2nd dose shall be exempted from pre-departure RT-PCR requirements and on arrival test procedures
    4. HAND WRITTEN REPORTS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.
    5. Any passenger arriving without RT-PCR negative test report will be deported on the same flight.
    6. Passengers shall not be allowed to pick up their checked-in baggage at the arrival hall. The same shall be handed over to them at the testing center
    • Andhra Pradesh

    In Andhra Pradesh, IndiGo flies to Kurnool, Rajahmundry, Tirupati, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam.

    Health Screening:

    Domestic: Thermal screening shall be done for all passengers.

    • Assam

    In Assam, IndiGo flies to Dibrugarh, Guwahati, Jorhat, Silchar.

    Health Screening:

    Thermal screening will be conducted upon arrivals

    All passengers arriving into any airport in Assam shall mandatorily undergo RAT test upon arrival free of cost

    If the test result of the RAT test is positive, the passenger will have to undergo home isolation or get admitted in private hospital or Government Health Institution depending on his/her medical condition

    If the test result of the RAT test is negative, the passenger will have to undergo RT-PCR at the airport itself. The cost of the RT-PCR test (maximum INR 250) shall be borne by the passenger

    Passengers shall be allowed to leave the airport once the sample/swab for RT-PCR test has been collected and with the condition that he/she shall remain under home quarantine until the result is declared

    If the test result of the RT-PCR test is positive, the passenger will have to undergo home isolation or get admitted in private hospital or Government Health Institution depending on his/her medical condition

    If the test result of the RT-PCR test is negative, the passenger can continue his/her activities adhering to COVID-19 behavior and norms of the state

    Passengers in of final vaccination certificate (two doses complete) shall be exempted from on arrival testing procedures.

    Symptomatic passengers and passengers vaccinated with single dose shall continue to undergo the on arrival testing procedures listed above

    Quarantine:

    Mandatory 7 day home quarantine for all passengers even if the test of the result conducted on arrival is negative

    Exemption from Quarantine and on Arrival Tests

    1. Residents of North Eastern States other them Assam who are arriving in any airport in Assam from outside the state and are directly travelling onwards to any other Norther Eastern States shall be exempted from on arrival testing provided they are able to produce proof of address in the North Eastern States and are asymptomatic
    2. All Transit passengers of Intra Assam and Inter North Eastern States shall be exempted from on arrival testing provided they are able to produce proof of address in the North Eastern States and are asymptomatic
    3. Government officials and those travelling due to medical reasons and family bereavement shall exempted from mandatory quarantine

    Passenger Obligation:

    All passengers must pay the cost of RT-PCR test upon arrival themselves

    Passengers looking for exemption from on arrival testing are required to be in possession of RT-PCR negative certificate conducted within 72Hours from the time of arrival into Assam and final vaccination certificate (two doses complete)

    • Bihar

    In Bihar, IndiGo flies to Gaya, Darbhanga, Patna.

    Health Screening:

    Patna & Gaya

    Thermal screening will be conducted upon arrivals.

    Random RAT test will be free of cost at arrivals for passengers from other sectors.

    Darbhanga

    It is mandatory for passengers travelling from the cities of Mumbai and Chennai to carry RT-PCR negative report from an ICMR accredited lab done within last 72hrs. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time. Customers not in possession of negative RT PCR certificate shall be denied boarded at the origin station

    Quarantine:

    Patna & Gaya

    Darbhanga

    NIL    

    Passenger Obligation:

    All passengers must download Aarogya Setu App.

    For Darbhanga - Mandatory for passengers travelling from the cities of Mumbai and Chennai to carry RT-PCR negative report from an ICMR accredited lab done within last 72hrs. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time.

    • Chandigarh

    Health Screening:

    Thermal screening will be done for all passengers

    Passengers travelling to Chandigarh are mandatorily required to be in possession of RT-PCR negative report of not older than 72Hours from an ICMR accredited lab or a COVID vaccination Final Certificate (two doses complete). RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time

    The above is not applicable to infants and children below the age of 10 years

    Quarantine:

    No quarantine.

    Passenger Obligation:

    All passengers must download Aarogya Setu App

    All passenger must register on COVA Punjab App before commencing their journey

    Ensure while travelling to Chandigarh are in possession of RT-PCR negative certificate of not older than 72Hours or final vaccination certificate (two doses complete)

    Not applicable to infants and children below the age of 10 years

    • Chhattisgarh
    • Raipur

    In Chhattisgarh, IndiGo flies to Raipur.

    Health Screening:

    Thermal screening will be conducted for all passengers

    All passengers travelling to Chhattisgarh are advised to be in possession of RT-PCR negative report not earlier than 96Hours. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time

    Passengers not in possession of RT-PCR negative report shall be required to undergo test upon arrival free of cost

    Children below the age of 12 years shall be exempted from pre-departure RT-PCR and on arrival test

    Passengers in possession of final vaccination certificate, i.e., those who have taken both doses shall be exempted from pre-departure RT-PCR requirement

    Quarantine:

    Passengers undergoing test upon arrival shall be required to remain in home quarantine till the test result is declared

    Passenger Obligation:

    NIL

    • Delhi

    Health Screening:

    In view of the surge in number of COVID-19 cases, random sample collection will be done for passengers arriving from states where there has been a spurt in number for COVID-19 cases. Passengers will be allowed to exit after sample collection.

    Thermal screening will be done for all passengers upon arrival.

    Quarantine:

    Passengers who are found positive will be quarantined at home or CCC/CHC/Hospital for 10 days.

    Thermal screening will be done for all passengers upon arrival.

    • Goa

    Health Screening:

    Mandatory for all passengers arriving into Goa from other States/UT to be in possession of RT-PCR/TrueNAT/CBNAAT/Rapid Antigen Test negative report from ICMR accredited labs done within last 72hrs. RT-PCR/TrueNAT/CBNAAT/Rapid Antigen Test timeline starts from the swab collection time. Passengers not fulfilling the requirements shall be denied boarded at the origin station

    Following passengers are exempted from the above mentioned requirement

    1. Passengers entering Goa for a medical emergency on production of proof or coming in an ambulance
    2. All persons entering the state in goods vehicles making essential supplies however such vehicles shall not carry any passengers unconnected with the transportation of essential supplies

    Passengers in possession of final vaccination certificate, i.e., those who have taken both doses and have completed 15 days since the receipt of the 2nd dose shall be exempted from pre-departure RT-PCR/TrueNAT/CBNAAT/RAT requirement

    Passengers arriving from Kerala shall be allowed entry into Goa only on production RT-PCR negative report from ICMR accredited labs done within last 72hrs. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time. Additionally, the following shall also be applicable to passengers arriving from Kerala:

    Students and employees entering Goa shall be subject to mandatory 5 days institutional quarantine and arrangements for the same shall be done by the administrators/principal/offices of respective student and employees. On completion of quarantine they shall be required to undergo a RT-PCR test

    Customers other than students or employees shall be subject to 5 days home quarantine

    Following shall be exempted from any type of quarantine if coming from Kerala State

    1. Constitutional functionaries, healthcare professionals and their spouses
    2. Children below 2 years
    3. In dire emergency such as death in family, medical treatment etc.
    4. Passengers in transit from and to Kerala via any mode of transport

    Quarantine: None

    Passenger Obligation:

    All passengers must download Aarogya Setu App.

    Carry a negative RT-PCR/TrueNAT/CBNAAT/Rapid Antigen Test report not earlier than 72 hours from an ICMR approved or final vaccination certificate showing 2 doses complete and 15days being elapsed from the receipt of the 2nd dose

    Airlines Obligation:

    Ensure passengers are not boarded from origin station unless in possession of RT-PCR/TrueNAT/CBNAAT/Rapid Antigen Test negative report or final vaccination certificate as mentioned in the health screening section.

    Airport/State Obligation: None

    • Gujarat

    In Gujarat, IndiGo flies to Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara.

    Health Screening:

    Ahmedabad

    1. Thermal screening shall be conducted for all arriving passengers
    2. Symptomatic passengers upon arrival shall be required to undergo RT-PCR test at their own cost
    3. Passengers originating their journey from any city in Kerala or Maharashtra state to the city of Ahmedabad are required to be in possession of RT-PCR negative certificate of not older than 72Hours from an ICMR accredited lab or final vaccination certificate (i.e., both doses complete and should have surpassed 15 days from the receipt of the 2nd dose). RT-PCR timeline starts from the time of sample collection. Passengers not in possession of RTPCR negative/vaccination certificate shall be required to undergo RAT upon arrival free of cost

    Vadodara & Rajkot

    Thermal screening shall be conducted for all arriving passengers

    Surat

    1. Thermal screening shall be done for all passengers.
    2. It is mandatory for passengers arriving into the city of Surat from other states/UT to carry a negative RT-PCR report not earlier than 72 hours from an ICMR approved laboratory or be in possession of final vaccination certificate (two doses complete). RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time.
    3. Children below the age of 12 years will be exempted.

    • Jammu & Kashmir

    In Jammu & Kashmir, IndiGo flies to Jammu, Srinagar.

    Health Screening:

    Jammu & Srinagar

    Passengers travelling to Jammu & Kashmir are mandatorily required to be in possession of RT-PCR negative report of not older than 72Hours from an ICMR accredited lab or a COVID vaccination Final Certificate (two doses complete). RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time

    Passengers not in possession of negative RT-PCR report or vaccination certificate shall be required to undergo test upon arrival free of cost.

    The above is not applicable for Defense Personnel arriving into the UT of Jammu & Kashmir

    Quarantine:

    Passenger Obligation:

    Airlines Obligation

    • Inform passenger that there will be mandatory test on arrival if not in possession of negative RT-PCR report or final vaccination certificate 
    • Deplane passengers from the rear of the aircraft.
    • Jharkhand

    In Jharkhand, IndiGo flies to Ranchi.

    Health Screening:

    Mandatory thermal screening will be conducted for all passengers arriving from Maharashtra, Kerala & Telangana.

    Symptomatic passengers will be tested for RT-PCR/TRUENAT & if found positive will be home isolated.

    It is mandatory for passengers arriving from ANY state to carry a RT-PCR/TRUENAT negative report from ICMR approved lab not earlier than 72 hours. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time. Passengers arriving without negative RT-PCR report will be subject to RT-PCR test (free of cost)  & fill up self-declaration form.

    Quarantine:

    Mandatory 7 day home quarantine for all passenger arriving into the state of Jharkhand.

    Following passenger categories are exempted from the mandatory 7 day home quarantine period:

    1. Passengers who have a return journey within 72Hours from the arrival into the state of Jharkhand.
    2. Airline Personnel
    3. Passengers passing through the state during interstate movement.
    4. Government of India officials on official duty
    5. Passengers who undertake daily interstate travel for purpose of mining/industrial/agriculture/health care related activities.

    Passenger Obligation:

    1. RTPCR Negative Report within 72 hours is mandatory for all passengers arriving into Ranchi from all states.
    2. All passengers are required to register on Government of Jharkhand website www.jharkhandtravel.nic.in preferably before departure.

    • Karnataka
    • Belagavi
    • Bengaluru
    • Hubli
    • Mangaluru
    • Mysuru

    In Karnataka, IndiGo flies to Belagavi, Bengaluru, Hubli, Mangaluru, Mysuru.

    Passenger Obligation: 

    Passengers originating their journey from any city in Kerala state (irrespective of their vaccination status) to any city in Karnataka state shall be mandatorily required to be in possession of RT-PCR negative certificate of not older than 72Hours from an ICMR accredited lab. RT-PCR timeline starts from the time of sample collection

    Passengers originating their journey from any city in Maharashtra state to any city in Karnataka state shall be exempted from mandatorily requirement of RT-PCR negative certificate of not older than 72Hours from an ICMR accredited lab if the duration of their trip is of 2 days or less provided they are fully vaccinated. Passengers whose trip duration is of more than 2 days shall be mandatorily required to be in possession of RT-PCR negative certificate of not older than 72Hours from an ICMR accredited lab irrespective of their vaccination status. RT-PCR timeline starts from the time of sample collection.

    International Passengers:

    Health Screening: 

    Thermal screening for all arriving passengers

    Passengers originating their journey from any city in Kerala state (irrespective of their vaccination status) to any city in Karnataka state shall be mandatorily required to be in possession of RT-PCR negative certificate of not older than 72Hours from an ICMR accredited lab. RT-PCR timeline starts from the time of sample collection

    All students arriving from Kerala State in pursuance of their studies in any discipline but not restricted to nursing, medical, engineering, para medical, etc. shall be mandatorily required to be in possession of RT-PCR negative certificate of not older than 72Hours from an ICMR accredited lab and shall be further subjected to 7 days institutional quarantine at end of which they shall undergo an RT PCR Test on completion of quarantine. RT-PCR timeline starts from the time of sample collection

    Passengers originating their journey from any city in Maharashtra state to any city in Karnataka state shall be exempted from mandatorily requirement of RT-PCR negative certificate of not older than 72Hours from an ICMR accredited lab if the duration of their trip is of 2 days or less provided they are fully vaccinated. Passengers whose trip duration is of more than 2 days shall be mandatorily required to be in possession of RT-PCR negative certificate of not older than 72Hours from an ICMR accredited lab irrespective of their vaccination status. RT-PCR timeline starts from the time of sample collection. Residents of Karnataka whose return trip from Maharashtra state is within 2 days shall be exempted from the RT-PCR requirement on submission of applicable proof of the same.

    Following passenger categories are exempted from above mentioned requirement

    1. Constitutional functionaries and healthcare professionals
    2. Children below the age of 2 years
    3. Passengers travelling under emergency situations such as death in family, medical treatment etc., In such situations passengers swab will be taken on arrival and further action shall be decided basis the test result

    Quarantine: 

    Mandatory 7 day institutional quarantine for All students arriving from Kerala State in pursuance of their studies in any discipline but not restricted to nursing, medical, engineering, para medical, etc

    • Kerala

    All passengers shall be required to register their details on Generate e-Pass

    In Kerala, IndiGo flies to Kannur, Kochi, Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram

    Health Screening:

    Thermal screening shall be done for all passengers

    All passengers travelling to Kerala are required to be in possession of RT-PCR negative report not earlier than 72Hrs. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time.

    Passengers who are not in possession of the RT-PCR negative report shall be required to undergo RT PCR test upon arrival at their own cost at facility outside the airport if their port of arrival is Trivandrum. If the port of arrival is Kochi the RT-PCR testing facility is available at the airport

    Passengers who don’t want to undergo RT-PCR test upon arrival shall be required to undergo mandatory 14days home quarantine

    Passengers who visit the State for a short period for purposes like business, official, trade, medical, court cases, property management or any like purposes shall be mandatory required to carry RT-PCR negative report not earlier than 72Hrs. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time

    Kannur

    Thermal screening shall be done for all passengers.

    It is mandatory for passengers arriving into the city of Kannur from other states/UT to carry a negative RT-PCR report not earlier than 72 hours from an ICMR approved laboratory. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time. Passengers not in possession of RT-PCR negative report shall mandatorily required to undergo testing upon arrival at their own cost

    Calicut

    Thermal screening shall be done for all passengers.

    It is mandatory for passengers arriving into the city of Calicut from other states/UT to carry a negative RT-PCR report not earlier than 72 hours from an ICMR approved laboratory. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time. Passengers not in possession of RT-PCR negative report shall be mandatorily required to undergo testing upon arrival at their own cost

    Applicable to all cities in Kerala State

    Passengers those who fully vaccinated i.e.., those who have received both doses are exempted from pre-departure RT-PCR requirement on production of final vaccination certificate

    Quarantine:

    Domestic Passengers:

    14 days of Home Quarantine for all passengers who are not in possession of RT-PCR negative certificate and are not willing to undergo RT PCR upon arrival. Not applicable for passengers arriving into the city of Kannur

    For Calicut Only

    Passengers undergoing test on arrival shall remain under home/institutional quarantine till the test result is declared. The transportation from airport to quarantine facility/home quarantine shall be in double chambered vehicles

    All passengers shall mandatorily be required to register their details on

    Upon arrival, passengers are required to show their e-pass to the Health Officials at airport

    • Ladakh

    In Ladakh, IndiGo flies to Leh.

    Health Screening:

    Thermal screening shall be done for all passengers.

    Negative RT-PCR report on arrival (not earlier than 96 hours prior to arrival) is required for all passengers arriving into Leh. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time.

    Passengers in possession of final vaccination certificate, i.e., those who have taken both doses and have completed 15 days since the receipt of the 2nd dose shall be exempted from pre-departure RT-PCR requirement

    Quarantine:

    If passengers are not carrying negative RT-PCR report, then mandatory 7 days of home quarantine. COVID test may be conducted at the end of quarantine period.

    Passengers may have to be tested for COVID & if tested positive, passengers will be transferred to COVID facility for further processing.

    If test report is negative then the passengers shall be released from mandatory quarantine.

    Exception: Personal of Defense & Central Armed Police are exempted from above provisions.

    Passenger Obligation:

    COVID negative report (not earlier than 72 hours of arrival) are MANDATORY for entry into Ladakh.

    • Madhya Pradesh

    In Madhya Pradesh, IndiGo flies to Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur.

    Health Screening:

    Bhopal & Jabalpur

    Thermal screening and shall be done upon arrival.

    Gwalior

    Passengers arriving from Maharashtra State are are required to be in possession of RT-PCR negative report  of not older than 72Hours from an ICMR accredited lab. Those not in possession of RT-PCR report upon arrival shall be required to undergo the test on arrival free of cost. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time

    Quarantine:

    NIL

    Passenger Obligation:

    Passengers arriving from Maharashtra State are are required to be in possession of RT-PCR negative report  of not older than 72Hours from an ICMR accredited lab. Those not in possession of RT-PCR report upon arrival shall be required to undergo the test on arrival free of cost. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time

    • Manipur

    In Manipur, IndiGo flies to Imphal.

    Health Screening:

    Thermal screening will be conducted for all passengers.

    Mandatory for passengers arriving from ANY state to carry a RT-PCR/TRUENAT/CB-NAAT/RAT negative report from ICMR approved lab not earlier than 72 hours. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time

    Passengers of Manipur origin who have to undertake travel in an emergency situation shall be exempted from being in possession of COIVD-19 negative report at the time of entry as a special case and will have to undergo testing upon arrival. This shall only allowed with prior information of such emergency travel being communicated to Covid Control Room helpline number 1800-345-3818 for necessary arrangements to be made

    For passenger arriving in CJB, following shall apply

    • It is advisable for all passengers arriving in CJB to have carry a negative RT-PCR report not earlier than 72 hours. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time. The same is not applicable for passengers travelling from other cities within Tamil Nadu
    • In case the passenger arrives without RT-PCR report, COVID testing shall be done free of cost at the airport and the passengers shall be released after sample is taken. Further action will be taken basis the test result.

    1. Passengers those who fully vaccinated i.e.., those who have received both doses are exempted from pre-departure RT-PCR requirement on production of final vaccination certificate.
    2. Children below 2 years are exempted from RT-PCR test
    3. Passengers travelling incase of death of kin however shall be required to undergo testing upon arrival at their own cost. Exemption to be applied through domesticairlines.wb@gmail.com
    4. Transit passengers are exempted from RT-PCR test provided they do not exit the airport premises

    All passengers must download Aarogya Setu App

    All passengers must fill up and submit the declaration form using Sandhane App developed by H&FW Department West Bengal.

    It is mandatory for passengers arriving in the state of West Bengal from other states/UT to carry a negative RT-PCR report not earlier than 72 hours from an ICMR approved laboratory or final vaccination certificate (2 doses complete). RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time.
