Codeshare Partnership with AEGEAN

Our bilateral codeshare partnership with AEGEAN, Greece’s largest carrier, also went live. This allows IndiGo to place its 6E code on over 10 European destinations operated by AEGEAN — including cities in Italy, Spain, and Bulgaria. AEGEAN customers also gain seamless connections to more than 10 destinations across IndiGo's domestic and international network via Delhi and Mumbai, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Colombo. This is IndiGo's 13th codeshare partnership geared towards strengthening
international connectivity.

Fuel Charges Introduced

The significant surge in fuel prices amid ongoing geopolitical issues in the Middle East led IndiGo to introduce Fuel Charges on all routes. Offsetting the impact of this fuel price surge requires a substantial adjustment to fares. IndiGo has introduced a relatively smaller amount as a Fuel Charge, keeping in mind the consequential burden on customers.
All bookings made from 0001 hrs on April 02, 2026, include the following Fuel Charges, per sector:

Fly to These Indian Cities for the Best Food Experience

Left Side Image

India is a feast for the senses - an ode to flavour where centuries of history and cultural nuance come together on the plate. For travellers who follow their palate as keenly as their passport, the country offers an unparalleled culinary journey. From the bustling streets of Old Delhi to the regal kitchens of Rajasthan, food in India is more than sustenance - it is storytelling. Here are six destinations that define India's gastronomic soul.

Delhi

India's capital is a culinary pilgrimage in its own right. Nowhere else does history simmer so vividly in every bite. Old Delhi, in particular, is a living, breathing food museum. Its narrow lanes perfumed with spices, sizzling tavas, and age-old recipes passed down generations. Begin your day with flaky parathas and indulgent chole bhature and let it unfold into a symphony of chaats - golgappas, dahi bhalla, aloo tikki - each bursting with flavour and texture. A stroll through Chandni Chowk reveals a snack or sweet at every turn, making Delhi an irresistible introduction to India's street-food culture.

Lucknow

Graceful, refined, and deeply indulgent, Lucknow's cuisine mirrors its Nawabi heritage. Recently recognised as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, the city is synonymous with Awadhi and Mughlai excellence. Expect slow-cooked biryanis redolent of saffron and spices, legendary galouti kebabs that dissolve on the tongue, and delicately baked sheermal. The experience is incomplete without dessert - makhan malai in winter, zafrani kheer, or the classic shahi tukda - all served with the courtesy the city is known for.

Kolkata

Kolkata's food culture strikes a rare balance between subtlety and indulgence. The city weaves sweet and savoury together with layered finesse- from tangy puchkas and hearty fish curries to iconic kathi rolls eaten on the go. Markets such as Dacres Lane, Kalighat, and Shyambazar offer a glimpse into the city's everyday food rituals, while its famed sweets - rasgulla, mishti doi, Sandesh - offer a gentle, lingering finale. Every meal here is touched by Bengal's literary, colonial, and cultural legacy.

Kozhikode

At the heart of Kerala's culinary tradition lies Kozhikode, a historic port city and enduring food capital. Kozhikode feels like a spice-scented reverie, where coconut, curry leaves, and the freshness of the sea define everyday dining. From comforting Malabar fish curry and delicate pathiri to the iconic Malabar biryani, meals are often served on banana leaves- simple, soulful, and deeply rooted in the land and sea. Kozhikode's food feels both wholesome and quietly indulgent, offering a culinary experience that lingers long after the last bite.

Jaipur

Beyond forts and palaces lies Jaipur's deeply satisfying food culture, born of arid landscapes and royal indulgence. Rajasthani cuisine champions bold flavours and ingenious use of ingredients, from dal baati churma and gatte ki sabzi to fiery lal maas and the tang of ker sangri. Decadent sweets such as ghewar complete the experience. Each dish reflects richness and the enduring grandeur of Rajasthan's culinary heritage.

Hyderabad

A city where royal kitchens once defined excess, Hyderabad's cuisine is a heady blend of Deccani, Mughlai, and Persian influences. While the world knows it for its iconic biryani, the city's culinary identity extends far beyond. Think slow-cooked haleem, robust pathar ka gosht, crisp lukhmi, and the ritual of Irani chai paired with Osmania biscuits. Traditional desserts such as double ka meetha and khubani ka meetha add sweetness to the experience, reinforcing Hyderabad's standing as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.

With direct IndiGo flights connecting all these destinations, exploring India's diverse culinary landscape is now as effortless as it is memorable. Whether your journey begins with spice, sweetness, or slow-cooked indulgence, India promises a table that is always full and endlessly inviting.
