Q3 FY25 results

For the quarter ended December 2024, IndiGo reported a solid profit of INR 38.5 billion excluding the impact of currency movement.

Including the impact of foreign exchange, the net profit for the quarter aggregated to INR 24.5 billion.

Highlights of Q3 FY25:

Flew record 31.1 million passengers
Capacity grew with 12% vs last year
Share of international ASKs now touches 28%
Revenue is at INR 230 billion, up 15% vs last year
Load factor improved to 86.9% in December
Added 50 new routes

IndiGo's long-haul debut

IndiGo marks a major milestone with its long-haul debut, with flights to Manchester and Amsterdam from July 2025. The service to Manchester will be the only direct route from India to the North of the UK.

Earlier this year, IndiGo entered into a damp lease agreement with Norse Atlantic Airways for a Boeing 787-9 aircraft, which was inducted into operations on March 1, 2025 on the Delhi-Bangkok route. Subsequently the agreement was expanded to include the damp lease of three additional aircraft, scheduled to join the fleet towards the second half of this year, enabling IndiGo to make an early entry into the long-haul market and establish itself in Europe.

IndiGo launched direct flights from Mumbai to Krabi, effective March 23rd, 2025. Known for its pristine beaches and limestone cliffs, Krabi is IndiGo's 40th international destination and 3rd destination in Thailand, after Bangkok and Phuket.

IndiGo announced the launch of direct flights from Mumbai to Seychelles, effective March 22, 2025. The stunning archipelago in the Indian Ocean is the 39th international destination in the network.

MED

IndiGo introduced a non-stop flight to Madinah, our 38th international destination, and 128th overall destination. The three-times-weekly service between this major Islamic pilgrimage site and Hyderabad commenced from February 20, 2025.

PEN

IndiGo commenced operations on its new exclusive daily direct flight route between Chennai and Penang on 21st December 2024. Penang, renowned for its tantalizing street food, stunning beaches, and rich heritage, marks IndiGo's 37th international destination and third destination in Malaysia, following Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi.

LGK

IndiGo commenced its exclusive daily direct flights between Bengaluru and Langkawi on 16th December 2024. Langkawi is one of the most popular destinations in Malaysia with its pristine beaches and lush rainforests and is IndiGo's 36th international and 124th overall destination.

From February 07, 2025, IndiGo enhanced regional connectivity with new daily direct flights between Bikaner and Delhi, making it our 90th domestic destination. Bikaner, known for its heritage sites, palaces, and forts, is often referred to as the 'Red City' due to its red sandstone havelis.

Kishangarh, also known as the 'Marble City of India' becomes our 91st Domestic Destination and our 6th destination in Rajasthan after Jaisalmer, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur and Bikaner. IndiGo announced exclusive daily direct flights between Kishangarh and Ahmedabad from March 01, 2025.

Discovering India's ancient wellness secrets

Wellness has become more important than ever, with the Covid-19 pandemic being a wake-up call for people around the world to focus on holistic well-being. With looming lifestyle issues and a constant tussle to maintain work-life balance, there is growing awareness about preventive healthcare and alternative therapies as a means to improve quality of life. And that's where ancient solutions, from Ayurveda to naturopathy, are gaining immense traction among people.

In India, alternative healthcare isn't exactly a new concept - kitchen-sourced home remedies or indigenous fitness regimen have been integral to our cultural ethos. In fact, iconic personalities, from Madonna to Steve Jobs, have found profound inspiration in yoga that impacted their lives deeply. What was perhaps unconventional earlier, however, has now emerged as a trend with significant international footfall in India to reap the benefits of such wellness treatments. Wellness tourism in India is booming; in 2024, it was valued at USD 19.4 billion, as per reports, and is expected to reach USD 29.88 billion by 2031, thanks to cost-effective services, rapidly developing infrastructure and proven restorative abilities.

Coastal charm

Ayurveda and yoga retreats have attracted foreign travellers over the years. In Kerala, places such as Thiruvananthapuram, Varkala or Kottakkal, are hotspots for traditional Ayurvedic treatments. Several schools also offer yoga training courses.

IndiGo has direct flights to Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram from cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad and Chennai.

Serenity in the Himalayas

Many international tourists flock to Rishikesh, deemed the yoga capital of India, boasting a massive community of spiritual leaders and yoga gurus. Another popular yoga destination is Dharamshala, in the Kangra Valley in Himachal Pradesh, where certified practitioners of Iyengar and Hatha yoga offer extensive coaching.

To reach Rishikesh, you can take a non-stop flight from Delhi, Mumbai or Bengaluru to Dehradun. For Dharamshala, you can take a flight to Kangra airport (Gaggal).

From beaches to bliss

Goa has emerged as a preferred retreat for wellness. Innovative wellness resorts, yoga retreats, and spa and holistic therapy centres here blend seamlessly into the stunning coastal panorama. While North Goa is dotted with decadent spots, South Goa is a sought-after region for wellness travel owing to its relaxed, quieter atmosphere.

IndiGo has non-stop flights to Goa (both Dabolim and MOPA) from several Indian cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru. Dabolim is also the nearest airport to Gokarna.

Offbeat getaway

Several other Indians destinations now offer various traditional healing practices. Places such as Kasar Devi near Almora in Uttarakhand, Gokarna in Karnataka and Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu are attracting international tourists, besides Puducherry and Auroville. One can also head to the retreats in Ladakh in the heart of the Himalayas.

IndiGo also connects to Ladakh (Leh) and Puducherry (Auroville is around 12 km away), among other destinations.
