Mr. Aditya Ghosh
President and Director

Mr. Aditya Ghosh is the President and whole-time Director of the Company. Mr. Ghosh heads all operations and management of our Company. Mr. Ghosh took on the role as its President in August 2008. He also serves on the Executive Committee of InterGlobe Enterprises, which is responsible for the management of the IGE’s various businesses.Mr. Ghosh holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Law degree,  both from the University of Delhi. Prior to joining our Company in 2008, Mr. Ghosh was the General Counsel for InterGlobe Enterprises from 2004 to August 2008. He also practiced law from 1998 to 2004 at J. Sagar & Associates. He interned with Kumaran and Sagar from 1997 to 1998. 

Mr Ghosh has been recognized for his achievements both nationally and globally. Some of his key awards are as follows:

Mr Rohit Philip
Chief Financial Officer

Mr Rohit Philip holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from St Xavier’s College, University of Mumbai. He finished his Masters of Business Administration from Cornell University in 1995.

Mr Rohit Philip worked at United Airlines for 17 years from where he was Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Business Development. At United he also held various other senior executive positions including Vice President - Financial Planning and Analysis; Assistant Treasurer - Corporate Finance; and Vice President – Finance & CFO, Mileage Plus Holdings.

After United Airlines he worked as the President and Group CFO of Anand Automotive Limited, a leading auto components supplier in India. He joined Xerox Corporation based in Norwalk, USA, a leading global document management and business services company post that where he served as Corporate Vice President & Treasurer.

Mr Rohit Philip joined IndiGo on July 18th 2016 and holds the position of Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Sanjay Kumar
Chief Commercial Officer

Mr. Sanjay Kumar holds a bachelor’s degree in law and a master’s degree in economics from Meerut University. He has a post graduate diploma in business administration from Institute of Productivity and Management, Meerut. Mr. Kumar has over 20 years of experience in the aviation sector and has worked with various airlines in India. Prior to joining our Company, he worked with Sahara Airlines from May 1992 till April 2001 at various positions in the areas of commercial, marketing, sales and distribution. In April 2001 he joined Royal Airways Limited and worked on the startup project of SpiceJet which was launched in May 2005. He was the Vice President – Marketing and Planning for SpiceJet until January 2007 and was responsible for various assignments in the areas of Network Planning, Marketing and Sales, Distribution, Product and Service Development and Media Relations. He joined our Company on January 29, 2007 and is responsible for the commercial operations of our Company.

Mr. Riyaz Haider Peer Mohamed
Chief Aircraft Acquisition and Financing Officer

Mr. Riyaz Haider Peer Mohamed holds a bachelor’s degree in science from University of Bombay. He is a Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Chartered Financial Analyst from The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts, Charlottesville, Virginia, USA. He has completed the management education program from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Mr. Peer Mohamed joined Emirates in Dubai in November 1989 where he held various positions, and his last held position for Emirates was Senior Vice President – Corporate Treasury which he held from August 2001 until May 2006. Mr. Peer Mohamed joined our Company prior to the commencement of our commercial operations as the Chief Financial Officer and held this position from May 2006 till November 2014. From December 2014 onwards, Mr. Peer Mohamed holds the position of Chief Aircraft Acquisition and Financing Officer in our Company.

Mr. Sanjeev Ramdas
Executive Vice President Customer Service and Operations Control

Mr. Sanjeev Ramdas holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from University of Delhi and a post graduate diploma in personnel management and industrial relations from YMCA Institute of Management Studies. Mr. Ramdas has worked for Cambata Aviation Private Limited from 1989 till 1994 as Duty Officer and his responsibilities included aircraft handling, passenger services and charter flights. Prior to joining our Company, Mr. Ramdas was the Director of Airport Services at InterGlobe Air Transport Limited from 1994 till 2006 where he managed the Airport Operations of InterGlobe Air Transport Limited’s airline partners and was responsible for Airport Operations, Customer Services, Emergency Response Procedures and Safety. Mr. Ramdas joined our Company on February 1, 2006 and is responsible for Airport Operations and Customer Services, Inflight Services and Operations Control Center.

Capt Ashim Mittra
Vice President: Flight Operations

Capt Ashim Mittra is heading the department of flight operations at IndiGo.

In his current role, he is responsible for all Flight Operation functions of the organization, which include directing the Flight Operations in a safe and efficient manner.

With over 20,000 hours of flying he flies as a DGCA Designated Examiner on the Airbus 320.

Capt Mittra joined IndiGo in July 2006 and has been a part of this leading and trendsetting Airline since its inception.

He started his aviation career as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with Indian Airlines 37 years ago and later qualified to become an Airbus 300 Flight Engineer in 1981.He flew as a flight engineer for almost 7 years logging approximately 5000 hrs. After acquiring a Commercial Pilot’s License from the US he flew as a Boeing 737-200 and A320 pilot with Indian Airlines, the national carrier, from 1987 to 1994.

He then gained international exposure and worked with pilots from different culture and nationalities while flying for Air Lanka between 1994 and 1997.

Capt. Ashim Mittra subsequently went on to fly the 737 -200/700/800NG with Alliance Air, Air Sahara, and Air India Express as a Captain. He was a Check Pilot on the Boeing 737-200 with Alliance Air until he joined IndiGo.

Capt. Mitra completed his initial education from St Joseph’s College, Allahabad.

Mr. Ashish Agarwal
Vice President: Information Technology

Mr. Ashish Agarwal, Vice President- IT, heads Information Technology at IndiGo.

Mr. Agarwal has over 20 years of experience in technology leadership and consulting across Transportation, Healthcare and Insurance industries. Prior to joining IndiGo, he worked as the Head of IT at Apollo Munich Health Insurance, leading Enterprise IT strategy for the company. His expertise include strategic technology planning and delivering large programs enabling business efficiency and innovation. He has held significant technology delivery roles across large corporations within the US before he joined us in November 2013. In his current role, he is responsible for the IT initiatives and delivery of a technology enabled enterprise.

Mr. Aggarwal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani and a Master’s in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore and the University of California, Los Angeles. 

Captain-Dhruv-Rebbapragada

Captain Dhruv Rebbapragada
Chief of Flight Safety

Captain Dhruv Rebbapragada joined IndiGo on the 18th of July 2011 as Chief of Flight Safety and heads the company’s safety functions. Captain Rebbapragada currently flies the Airbus A320 as an Instructor Pilot and has more than 14,500 hours to his credit.

Prior to joining our company, he worked with Air India (Erstwhile Indian Airlines Limited) from 1987 till 2011 and held the position of Deputy General Manager. His responsibilities included resolving technical issues and IATA operations safety audits pertaining to flight operations. He was a crew resource management facilitator and was also a training Captain.

Captain Dhruv Rebbapragada holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in flying from Dibrugarh University.

Mr Herters

Mr. Jason Herter
Vice President: Operations Control Center

Mr Jason Herter heads the Operations Control Center and Dispatch function at IndiGo and joined us on the 01st October 2016.  As Vice President OCC Mr Herter’s portfolio of responsibilities include, ensuring the planned flight operation program is on time, initiating emergency response management procedures and coordination among various departments for smooth functioning of the Operations Control Centre.

Jason comes to IndiGo with 17 years of aviation management experience. In the year 2000 he became one of the youngest Operations Control Center Managers in the United States at Amerijet International. Since then he has successfully managed all aspects of an Airline Operations Control Center and Crew Resources including implementing operations systems and optimizers. He has also worked in a consultant and business analyst role to identify problems and implement software solutions for numerous airlines throughout the world such as Avianca, Frontier, Skybus, Viva Aerobus, Alma, Astraeus and Air Madagascar, to name just a few.

Before joining IndiGo Jason was the Group Head of the Network Management Center at AirAsia for almost 7 years. He oversaw their growth from a little over 60 aircraft in 2010 to the 200 aircraft milestone the AirAsia group reached in 2016. This included overseeing the startup of 6 AirAsia affiliates across Asia and India.

Mr. Sanjay Gupta
Company Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer

Mr. Sanjay Gupta joined IndiGo in 2016 as the Company Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer.

Prior to joining IndiGo, Mr. Sanjay Gupta was associated with Firstsource Solutions Limited (RP – Sanjiv Goenka Group), as Senior Vice President – Corporate Affairs and Company Secretary for over 9 years. In the past, he has also been associated with Reliance Industries Limited, Jaiprakash Associates Limited and Chambal Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (KK Birla Group). He has been a council member of the Western India Regional Council of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India for a four years term (2010-2014) and also held various key positions including Treasurer and Chairman of the Professional Development Committee of the Council.

 He is a fellow member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (“FCS”). He is also an ICWA, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from University of Delhi and a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Commerce from Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi. In his career spanning over 25 years, he has acquired significant experience in the areas of Secretarial, Legal, Compliances and Corporate Affairs.

Ms. Shalini Singh
Associate Vice President: Administration

Ms Shalini Singh heads the Administrative function at IndiGo.

She joined us as Executive Assistant, Administration and was a part of the IndiGo launch team in the year 2006.Ms Shalini Singh has been associated with InterGlobe for more than 12 years.

Her portfolio includes facility management, security, housekeeping, travel & transport, vendor & expat management, and liaising with agencies & logistics support

Ms Shalini Singh has a Master’s degree in Labour & Social Welfare and a Post Graduate diploma in Human Resources.

Mr. S.C. Gupta
Vice President: Engineering

Mr. S.C. Gupta heads the Engineering function at IndiGo and has been with us ever since our inception in the year 2006.He has more than 20 years of experience in the Aviation industry.

With a large portfolio of responsibilities Mr Gupta manages aircraft maintenance for on time service, safe and reliable operations, tracking airborne communication and reporting systems and all initial and renewal of aircraft clearances.

Prior to joining IndiGo Mr Gupta was the Director of Engineering for Indian Airlines and was a member of the aircraft purchasing team.

Mr Gupta a licensed aircraft engineer is a graduate from the Indian Institute Of Technology and has completed his Master’s in Business Administration from the Faculty Of Management Studies, New Delhi.

Mr. Sukhjit S Pasricha
Vice President: Human Resources & Administation

Mr. Sukhjit S Pasricha heads the Human Resources and the Administration functions at IndiGo. He is an HR professional with a rich experience of 21+yrs in Corporate HR and Business HR roles across different industry sectors in the B2B and B2C space. He is responsible for building business aligned HR Strategy, driving HR Transformation projects, building Organizational Capability through formulation & implementation of HR processes and ensuing proactive HR interventions.

Before joining IndiGo, he worked with Bharti Airtel, Pepsico, Spice Communications, Apollo International and Vardhman Group. He joined IndiGo on the 1st of April 2013 from Bharti Airtel, Africa Operations where he worked as the Senior Vice President – HR, based at headquarters in Africa.

Mr. Pasricha has a Post Graduate degree in Management specializing in HR & IR from the Department of Commerce & Business Management, GNDU and has a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology Honors from Punjab University, Chandigarh. 

suman chopra

Ms. Suman Chopra
Vice President: Inflight Services

Ms Suman Chopra heads the Inflight Services team at IndiGo. She has been associated with us since April 2006 and a part of our launch team.

Her portfolio of responsibilities include providing IndiGo passenger a delightful customer service experience, ,maintaining high standards of customer service and ensuring safety standards are adhered to every time an aircraft takes off and lands.

Prior to joining IndiGo Ms Chopra was General Manager of the Inflight Services & Training division at Air Sahara.

She flew as a cabin crew member with Indian Airlines & Emirates. She was the only Indian in Emirates to be promoted in the crew vertical.

Summi Sharma

Ms. Summi Sharma
Vice President: Corporate Learning & Development, ifly

Ms Summi Sharma- Vice President, Learning and development, heads the learning academy of IndiGo- ifly.

Prior to joining IndiGo, Ms Sharma worked with Sahara Airlines from October 1994 until April 2006 in the field of inflight services and training. She flew as a cabin crew member and was promoted to Chief Airhostess for the airline. She went on to become a trainer in safety and emergency procedures post her flying career.

She joined IndiGo in 2006 as Manager training for Inflight Services and is now responsible for learning and development at IndiGo.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and has over 22 years of experience in the aviation sector. 

vikram chona

Mr. Vikram Chona
Vice President: Corporate Affairs

Mr Vikram Chona heads our Corporate Affairs function and has been associated with IndiGo since 2nd January, 2012. His portfolio of responsibilities include varied aspects of Corporate Affairs.

 

Mr. Chona has over 25 years of experience spanning Aviation, Telecom, Shipping and Petroleum, both in India and abroad. He started his career with USA Petroleum Corporation as Operations Manager, US Operations, from 1991 to 1993, being responsible for ensuring profitability and high customer satisfaction. In 1993 he joined Max Visions Inc., Miami as Sales Support Manager for managing sales and deliveries from Asia to US markets. Mr. Chona moved to Delhi in 1995 and joined Otis Elevator Company (I) Ltd as Sales Service Manager, Northern Region. Further, in 1997 he entered the Telecom sector, joining Ericsson Communications Limited as Key Account Manager, handling their BSNL & MTNL accounts. In this role he successfully handled installation of telecom infrastructure across India.

 Mr. Chona then moved from telecom infrastructure to telecom service provider in 2004, handling regulatory affairs, first for Aircel as Assistant Vice President – Regulatory Affairs and then Uninor (a joint venture between Unitech India & Telenor Norway) as Vice President – Regulatory Affairs from 2008 onwards.

Both at Uninor and Aircel, he was involved in establishing the mobile network across India, ensuring all regulatory compliances and handling all regulatory issues

 

Mr Chona  holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Delhi University and Master’s degree in  Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, USA.
