Terms & Conditions
- IndiGo UpFront: IndiGo offers ‘front‑row economy seats*’ under the product name ‘IndiGo UpFront’, which provides extra legroom* and other benefits.
- Eligibility and applicability: IndiGo UpFront is available to all customers except for group bookings and special fare types such as senior citizen, student, armed forces, and unaccompanied minor fares.
- Booking Channel: This product may be purchased through IndiGo’s website www.goindigo.in, mobile application, online travel agents (‘OTAs’) or through travel agents. *Currently front row economy seats and extra leg room seats may not be available across all IndiGo flights.
- Availability: Currently this fare is available on one-way, round-trip and multi-city bookings for most domestic and international (direct and indirect) flights.
- IndiGo UpFront seats: The IndiGo UpFront seats/row details are provided in above IndiGo UpFront Seat Information table.
- Special Features of IndiGo UpFront:
- Meals: IndiGo offers a complimentary snack combo of the customer’s choice (1 snack + 1 beverage) from the in‑flight menu.
- Free check‑in baggage allowance: Customers are entitled to an additional 5 kg over the standard checked‑in baggage allowance.
- Hand baggage allowance: The hand baggage allowance remains unchanged at 7 kg per customer.
- Infant fare and infant baggage allowance:
- Infant fare: Domestic – INR 1,750; International – up to INR 8,000.
- Infant baggage allowance: 7 kg hand baggage (unchanged).
- Change and cancellation fees: IndiGo offers discounted change and cancellation fees for this product, as specified in above change and cancellation charges table.
- Exclusions:
- If a customer does not select a seat at the time of booking through a travel agent or third‑party channel, IndiGo may assign a standard economy seat during check‑in, subject to availability.
- During irregular operations, including flight disruptions or aircraft changes, Upfront seat allocation will be subject to availability. If IndiGo UpFront seats remain available, customers will be reassigned accordingly. If unavailable, an alternative economy‑class seat will be provided, which shall constitute full compliance with the booking obligations.
- This fare type is non‑transferable and cannot be reassigned to another passenger.
- For connecting or transit itineraries, the complimentary snack combo is limited to one combo per booking. It will be provided on the segment with the longest flight duration, regardless of the total number of sectors.
- Pre-paid excess baggage: Passengers carrying excess baggage over and above the free check-in baggage allowance as mentioned above, can pre-book book excess baggage up to 1 hour prior to the scheduled departure time of their domestic flight or will be charged at the airport if they arrive with additional excess baggage, click here for the rates.
- Additional pieces of baggage: Additional pieces of baggage can be pre-booked online (subject to a maximum of up to only 2 pieces) or will be charged at the airport if they arrive with additional piece(s), click here for the rates. This amount covers only the service fee for ‘Additional pieces of baggage’, additional charges apply based on excess weight of the baggage.
- Change and cancellation: Date change and cancellation are allowed until 4 hours prior to scheduled flight departure time. Changes will be subject to available inventory and applicable difference in fare along with Change/Cancellation fee, if any.
- Replacement of “Super 6E” booking:
- Any modification to an existing ‘Super 6E’ booking (i.e., rescheduling of flight) will require the customer to select an IndiGo UpFront seat to generate the revised itinerary. If no modification is made, the originally selected seat will remain valid.
- For bookings made on or before 28 January 2026 and/or itineraries downloaded on/or after 29 January 2026 may reflect “IndiGo UpFront” due to system or nomenclature changes. This representation does not imply eligibility for IndiGo UpFront benefits. Passengers shall remain entitled solely to the benefits associated with the originally booked Super 6E fare, which shall continue to apply. (click here for the current T&C of Super 6E).
- Check–in Conditions: A passenger may web check-in 48 hours prior to domestic flight departure, and 24 hours before international flight departure.
- Conditions of Carriage: Except to the Terms and Conditions provided herein, all other terms and conditions, shall be subject to IndiGo’s Conditions of Carriage available here In case of any conflict between these Terms and Conditions, and any other set of terms, these Terms and Conditions will prevail as regards to IndiGo UpFront.
- Right to withdraw: IndiGo reserves the right to withdraw or modify these terms, at any time, at its absolute discretion, without assigning any reason and without prior intimation. The decision of IndiGo in this regard shall be final and binding.
- Governing Law: These terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws in India, and all disputes related to IndiGo UpFront, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi, India.
- Data Protection: Any personal data of the Customer which is collected or processed during the process of IndiGo UpFront, shall be done in accordance with IndiGo’s Privacy Policy.
- By purchasing this fare type, the customers explicitly agree that they have read and understood the above-mentioned Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them.
