Just half an hour away from Tirupati is a picturesque delta region in the Godavari called Konaseema. If you are in the city for a day, we suggest you do a temple run. Start early morning (around 5:30 am) with a visit to the Tirumala temple. Buy a VIP pass for INR 300 and wait in the queue. The overall time taken for the visit can be anywhere between 4-6 hr during offseason. Once you are through with your visit to the temple, head to the Narayanagiri hill for a complete view of the city. Srivari Padalu, where Lord Venkateswara is believed to have set foot on Earth for the first time, rests atop the hill. Another stop and perhaps the last of the day should be the Iskcon temple. Head here during the evening prayer, and you’ll find yourself mesmerised by the joyous chants and songs.
