GST General Information

The age of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) is upon us. And as India's coolest airline we're dedicated to making your air travel as hassle-free as possible. So not to worry, we've got you. Here's how the GST will affect you.

1. Goods and Service Tax (GST) is now applicable.
2. GST will be levied on all air transportation services provided by IndiGo as applicable, except where specifically exempted.
3. The applicable GST shall be either Integrated Goods and Service Tax (IGST) or Central Goods and Service Tax (CGST), and State Goods and Service Tax (SGST) / Union Territory Goods and Service Tax (UTGST), depending upon the place of supply of services and registration of the GST customer.
4. IndiGo has registration in all states and union territories from where it is providing air travel services. Our GSTIN of the respective state is published on our website.
5. Tax invoices shall be only in INR currency, even in cases where the payment is made in a currency other than INR.
6. GSTIN once submitted for booking cannot not be altered once the booking is confirmed.
7. Tax invoice shall be issued to the email address mentioned in the booking details.

1. Applicable GST (IGST or CGST and SGST/UGST) shall be based on your GSTIN submitted for bookings and the embarking location for each leg of the itinerary.
2. For issuance of proper tax invoice by the airline, please ensure that GSTIN (in capital letters), name of GSTIN Customer and e-mail address are correctly mentioned at the time of booking, whether made directly by you or through a travel agent. Tax invoice will be issued to the email address specified by you.
3. GSTIN or other information can be entered only at the time of the initial booking, before the PNR is generated.
4. The fees and charges recovered for Special Service Request (SSR) such as excess baggage, cancellation, modification, etc., are inclusive of GST at the applicable rate.  

For issuance of proper tax invoice by IndiGo, please ensure that GSTIN, name of GSTIN Customer and e-mail address of the Corporate or Business Entity for whom the booking has been made is correctly mentioned at the time of booking. Tax invoice will be issued to the e-mail address specified by you.
