Barcelona is Catalonia’s vibrant capital. This is a stunning coastal city that showcases its beauty and lively lifestyle almost throughout the year. By Barcelona travel guide, you get to see the stunning scenery, beautiful architecture, and outstanding cultural attractions, making it an attractive city to visit in Spain. Of course, with the city and the sites being awe-inspiring, the mild Mediterranean climate adds to their beauty. Some of the Barcelona tourism special are the architectural beauty created by Antoni Gaudi; these surrealist buildings are also UNESCO registered. After booking your flights to Barcelona, make sure to also explore quaint neighbourhoods, sandy beaches, and stroll through the Las Ramblas, where street musicians play Spanish guitars.

    How to reach Barcelona?

    • By air: Barcelona’s Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport (BCN) is an international airport, located 15 km from the city centre. It is also known as Barcelona El Prat Airport. Public transportation like buses and taxis are available at terminals of the airport. • By road: Visitors can easily connect through Aerobus services to get to the city centre from the airport. These buses operate 24/7 from both airport terminals. There are other bus services available with different routes to nearby towns. You can also find international bus services to countries like France and Switzerland.
    • Getting around/local transport in Barcelona: The city of Barcelona is a major metropolitan, thus, it has convenient public transport networks such as metros, trams, and buses, as well as a suburban rail service, Ferrocarriles de la Generalitat (FGC). Barcelona is also a cycle-friendly city with several bike services. The most convenient mode of transport are the taxis, which include both hybrid and electric vehicles, and some that run on natural gas.
