What attracts people to book flights to Valencia is its stunning beach location and gorgeous Mediterranean weather. Valencia is the third-largest city in Spain and certainly one of the perfect vacation destinations. You can begin your Valencia tourism by getting a codeshare flight and exploring the golden sands of Playa Las Arenas, admire the beautiful Rococo architecture of the Palace of the Marqués de Dos Aguas, and wander through the cobbled, maze-like part of the Old Town in Valencia. Although the city is often overlooked, plenty is going on here. With the Valencia travel guide, you can explore the city that boasts a buzzing food scene, fascinating culture, striking architecture, and a series of attractions, including the Cathedral, the Mercado Central, and the UNESCO-listed Lonja de la Seda.

    How to reach Valencia?

    • By air: Valencia Airport (VLC), which is also known as Manises Airport, is located at a distance of 8 km from the city. To get to the city from the airport, there are several public transportation options, like the metro. However, the most convenient mode is a taxi, which may take around 20 to 30 minutes. Together with Turkish Airlines, we at IndiGo can connect you from India to Valencia with multiple flights to Valencia as well as to several other European cities from Istanbul.
    • By train: One of the common options to get to and from the airport is taking the subway. The airport is the most convenient means of transport. There are two subway lines, which separate once they reach the city centre.
    • By road: Roadways are the best way to get to the airport from the city; there are plenty of taxi services as well as app-based cabs around Valencia.
    • Getting around/local transport in Valencia: As the third-largest city in Spain, exploring the city can get exhausting. But, luckily, there are all kinds of transport options, like trams, metros, buses, and cabs. Valencia’s metro system covers a large part of the city, making exploring the sites convenient. You must know that the system operates between 4 a.m. and 11 p.m. during the weekdays and between 5 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. during the weekends. Valencia has three tram lines. The trams mostly traverse places like the old fishermen’s barrio of El Cabanyal and towards the beaches. The bus network in Valencia is extensive, covering most of the city. Buses are the best way to get to the city’s attractions. If you want to explore the city at ease, there are several cycle paths, you can rent a bike and paddle through the streets.
