Located in the north-central part of Switzerland, Zurich is one of the most gorgeous and the largest cities of Europe. The city was founded by the Romans, almost 6,400 years ago. Its vibrant culture, world-famous architecture, and lake view makes it the most-visited tourist place in Europe. Your visit to Europe is incomplete without taking a halt at Zurich, rightly called by as the Europe's trendiest destination. 

Best time to visit: If you are planning a trip to Zurich, then the best time is from June to August; however it’s the most expensive time as the city is crowded with tourists. The pleasant climate makes your sightseeing experience magnificent. But, if you love winters then plan your trip during December to February and get a chance to enjoy Swiss Alps' ski slopes.

Visa and Immigration: If you’re an Indian passport holder travelling to Zurich, then you have to apply for Schengen visa online with the documents required. The Schengen is a short stay visa issued to visit the Schengen countries; the visa is issued to tourists that are planning to visit their friends, family or other travelling on non-business trips for up to 90 days from the date of entry. Your visit can be either continuous or several, depending upon the visa type; single entry or multiple entry. Another essential point to note while applying for the visa is that your passport should be valid for 6 months from your date of travel.

 

How to reach:

By Air: The Kloten International Airport is the city’s official international airport. Situated 10 km from Zurich city centre, the airport can be reached within 40 minutes depending on the mode of commutation.
