IndiGo, the low-cost Low-Fare domestic airline, redefining airline quality standards in India this Environment Day establishes its commitment to the environment through its technology on aircraft. Maintaining its green endeavor, IndiGos Airbus single aisle A320 - 232 aircrafts fitted with IAE V2500-A5 Engines enables a balanced emissions design approach, with the lowest total combined emissions levels of NOx, Carbon Monoxide (CO) and UHC (in its class), meeting all applicable emissions regulations with significant margin. Additionally IndiGo is the launch customer for International Aero Engines (IAEs) improved version of V2500-A5 engines called the SelectOne standard. The SelectOne is the new version of the V2500 engine that is designed to be more fuel-efficient with lower levels of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) emissions. The V2500 engines not only monitor the Carbon Dioxide (CO2) emissions, but they also keep the noise levels in check. The V2500's advanced propulsion system features a full-length nacelle that allows for extensive sound absorbing treatment and a mixed flow nozzle that significantly reduces exhaust air jet velocity. The result is lower noise levels than its competition - with more margins to Stage 4 noise limits. Mr. Aditya Ghosh, President, IndiGo,said IndiGo is committed to environmental sustainability. The technology on our aircrafts significantly reduces fuel emissions and regulates noise levels, which helps us contribute towards the larger canvas of environment preservation.
