IndiGo, Indias largest low fare airline will operate special flights to Alexandria, Egypt to evacuate Indians stuck in the region owing to the ongoing unrest in the region. In a move to assist the evacuation process for Indian nationals, 6E will operate special Airbus-320 aircraft on the Delhi- Alexandria route. The aircraft, crew and engineers are on standby. The flight is expected to be on the 6th of March, 2011. IndiGo is now waiting for final instructions of the Ministry of Civil Aviation. Celebrating the successful 100 years of the Indian Aviation Industry, IndiGo, with effect from February 16, displayed the logo of the centenary celebrations on the 6E fleet of 34 Airbus A320 aircraft.
