Effective today, IndiGo will start second daily non-stop flight between Delhi-Coimbatore, third daily non-stop between Chennai-Coimbatore & fifth daily non-stop between Chennai-Kolkata. Earlier, IndiGo also announced the launch of first time everFamily Fareswhich offer discount up to 25% for a family of four or more travelling together in a single PNR, for a maximum of nine passengers, subject to the availability. IndiGo takes delivery of its 100th Airbus A320 aircraft today, A first for an Indian low-cost carrier Launches 6E Scholar programme for 100 under-privileged students in partnership with Mensa India National, November 03, 2014:Celebrating the completion of its first order of 100 A-320s placed at the Paris Air Show in 2005, IndiGo, today has announced the launch of the6E Scholarprogramme in partnership with a globally established organization like Mensa India Marking this milestone, the low cost carrier has decided to sponsor the education and nurturing of 100 underprivileged children whose IQ is at the genius level. Recognized as the worlds oldest and largest high IQ society Mensa India, along with IndiGo, will identify the children over the next six months for consistent nurturing and mentoring. As part of the 6E scholar programme, Mensa-India will hold the IQ tests to identify children with 98 per cent IQ score. These 6E scholars would further be placed into educational streams best suited to their aptitude. Expressing his delight on this initiative,Mr. Aditya Ghosh, President, IndiGo,said, The launch of the'6E Scholar'programme is our small step towards nurturing needs of the nations best minds.
