National, December 26, 2017: Establishing the growing importance of emerging domestic sectors from South India, IndiGo, India’s largest and fastest growing low-cost carrier, has announced Vijayawada as its 50th destination on its route network. Effective March 02, 2018, IndiGo will operate daily direct operations connecting Vijayawada to Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai. Both corporate and leisure customers travelling from Vijayawada will now have the opportunity to experience the hassle-free, ontime performance that IndiGo is synonymous with. In line with company’s growth strategy, the airline has also inducted a brand new Airbus A320 NEO aircraft into its existing fleet taking the overall count to 150 aircraft.
National, December 23, 2017: Adding to many firsts to its credit, IndiGo yesterday became the first Indian carrier to operate 1000 plus flights in a day. Flight 6E 185 from Mumbai to Cochin took off on the 22nd of December 2017 at 23:15 pm to become 1000th flight for the first time in the history of Indian civil aviation. IndiGo also took the delivery of its 31st Airbus A-320 Neo aircraft on the same day to join its ever growing fleet making the first Indian carrier with 150 aircraft fleet. The milestone underlines IndiGo’s position as the country’s largest and fastest-growing carrier with 150 Airbus connecting 46 destinations.
National, December 21, 2017: Adding yet another milestone to its credit, IndiGo, country’s largest and the fastest-growing carrier, flew its 200 millionth passenger thereby reaching another historic milestone in eleven years of operations. The 200 millionth passenger - Ms Bheeni Kapur who flew from Delhi on IndiGo flight 6E-6929 - was greeted by IndiGo staff on checking in at Delhi airport with a boarding card placard, a bouquet and a hamper of goodies. On board the flight, IndiGo made a special announcement to recognize its 200 millionth passenger Ms Kapur who also received a complimentary on-board meal box.
National, December 21, 2017: In its effort to build a robust air transportation network in India, IndiGo, country’s largest and fastest growing carrier, today announced the commencement of its ATR operations in Hyderabad. The inaugural ATR flight will operate on Hyderabad-Mangalore sector starting December 21, 2017. With the introduction of brand new ATR 72-600 aircraft to its fleet, IndiGo has taken another step towards providing an on-time, affordable and a hassle-free travel experience to passengers in Tier-II and Tier-III towns and cities.

The new schedule will see non-stop connections between Colombo to Chennai and Bengaluru, effective January 20, 2018. National, December 08, 2017: Strengthening its positioning further as India’s largest and fastest growing low-cost carrier, IndiGo today has announced the expansion of its regional network by adding Tirupati on its network effective January 07, 2018. Tirupati will be connected by three daily non-stop flights to Hyderabad and double daily non-stop flights to Bengaluru. Apart from this Tirupati will also be connected to many new cities on IndiGo’s existing network of Airbus 320s and ATRs. IndiGo will connect Tirupati to Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Dubai, Singapore among other cities via Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Mangalore.
