IndiGo introduces connection between Tirupati, Rajahmundry to domestic and international destinations

National, 26 October 2017: Strengthening its positioning further as India’s largest and fastest growing low-cost carrier, IndiGo today has announced the expansion of its regional network by adding 63 new connections to connect Tirupati and Rajahmundry on its existing network of Airbus320s and ATRs. IndiGo will connect Tirupati and Rajahmundry to Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Dubai, Muscat, Singapore among other cities via Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Mangalore.

Indian flyers welcome breast cancer awareness campaign; Supports IndiGo-GE Healthcare joint initiative

National, October 26, 2017: Close to 1.25 lakh people who fly IndiGo every day are coming in support of the “breast cancer awareness campaign” initiated by two of the country’s well-established corporates: GE Healthcare and IndiGo. #BEPROACTIVE - a nationwide awareness campaign kick started on 20 October 2017 with an aim to ensure more women are made aware of breast cancer and undertake preventive screening. Recognising the urgency to spread the word, IndiGo colleagues across 39 domestic airports are ensuring to share leaflets and luggage tags with women flyers which has a message saying “Breast cancer awareness and early detection is critical for survival”.

IndiGo forays into regional markets; adds ATR to its fleet

National, October 16, 2017: Continuing its efforts towards serving nation with a stronger network; IndiGo, India’s largest and fastest growing carrier, today announced its foray into regional markets. The airline will begin ATR operations with flights between cities on its existing network of Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Mangalore, Madurai and Nagpur and two new Tier-II cities of Tirupati and Rajahmundry. With an aim to enhance connectivity to these cities, the airline will deploy its ATR fleet of ATR 72-600 aircraft in a phased manner.
