IndiGo awarded by DIAL for ‘Safety Excellence’ at Indira Gandhi International Airport

National, December 27, 2018: India’s largest domestic carrier, IndiGo, has been awarded by DIAL in recognition of the airline’s outstanding contribution to airside safety at the Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL). DIAL started “Safety Awareness workshop” across all three terminals at IGI Airport for all domestic airlines. As part of this “safety awareness drive” which was observed from December 17 to December 21, IndiGo staff went all out and participated in street plays and well-illustrated safety checks and Foreign Object Detection (FOD) removal process. This is IndiGo’s second recognition for airside safety that the airline received from GMR in 2016.

India’s IndiGo and Turkish Airlines Announce Codeshare Agreement

National, December 21, 2018: India’s largest domestic carrier, IndiGo, and Istanbul-based Turkish Airlines, a member of Star Alliance, today announced a codeshare and mutual cooperation agreement. The signed codeshare and mutual cooperation agreement between the two carriers, the effectiveness of which is subject to receipt by IndiGo and Turkish Airlines of all necessary Board and regulatory approvals, will enable both carriers to provide more flexibility of choice to their respective customers to fly on sectors between India, Istanbul and beyond.

IndiGo announces Kannur as its 67th destination

National, December 18, 2018: In line with its growth strategy to build a large and profitable air transportation network for our country, IndiGo has announced Kannur as its 67th destination. Effective January 2019, the low-cost airline will operate daily non-stop return flights from Kannur to Hyderabad, Chennai and Hubli.

This December, fly international on IndiGo’s growing network; Launches winter sale with special fares starting from INR 3299

National, December 12, 2018: IndiGo, India’s largest low-cost carrier, has announced a four-day New Year sale across its international network covering over 90 routes. As part of this winter special sale, IndiGo is offering all-inclusive fares starting at INR 3299 starting December 12, 2018 till December 16, 2018. This special sale is valid for travel between December 27, 2018 and on April 15, 2019.

The Andhra Pradesh government partners with IndiGo to introduce international services from Vijayawada

National, December 04, 2018: In a collaborative endeavour to provide air connectivity between Vijayawada and Singapore, IndiGo is all set to operate the first international flight from Vijayawada jointly with the Andhra Pradesh government. As part of the strategic partnership between the two, the low-cost airline will operate two weekly non-stop services between Vijayawada and Singapore effective December, 2018. The first flight will fly out of Vijayawada International Airport on December 04, 2018.
