Fly stress-free! Book 2 seats for 1 passenger with IndiGo 6E Double Seat

National, July 17, 2020: In-line with its vision to ensure safe and hassle-free travel, IndiGo, has launched 6E double seat bookings, which will allow customers to book two seats for a single passenger. Customers will be able to opt for 6E double seat only at the time of booking creation on IndiGo’s website, which will be available for both passengers as well as the travel agents. The 6E double seat option will not be available through travel portals, IndiGo call centre, airport counters or after making the original single seat booking. The 6E double Seat Scheme will not attract any airports charges like PSF, UDF and will only be an airline component and GST, hence will be priced at a lower rate than the total fare paid for original booking. The charges for extra seat will be effectively up to 25% lower than the original booking cost. This offer is effective travel starting July 24, 2020.

IndiGo operated 487 international flights with over 75000 passengers in 42 days

National, July 15, 2020: In-line with its mission to work together and support the nation in the current scenario, IndiGo has operated 436 international passenger charter flights and 51 international repatriation flights under the Vande Bharat Mission from June 03, 2020 till July 14, 2020. The airline operated international flights from Middle Eastern countries including UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and from other Asian nations like Maldives, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. IndiGo operated these flights while adhering to all the precautionary measures, ensuring a safe and hasslefree flying experience on-board a lean clean flying machine.

IndiGo repatriated 39 Indian nationals from Colombia, in coordination with Qatar Airways

National, July 08, 2020: In line with its commitment to support the nation, IndiGo operated a special flight 6E 8717 on July 07, 2020 from Doha to Mumbai to bring back 213 Indian citizens under the aegis of Mission Vande Bharat. The passengers included 37 adults and 02 infants who were stranded in Bogota and travelled on a Qatar Airways flight from Bogota to Doha on July 6, 2020 and connected onwards to the Mission Vande Bharat flight from Doha to Mumbai. The flight operated in close coordination with Indian Mission in Bogota, Indian Mission in Doha and Qatar Airways. The flight landed in Mumbai early today morning, adhering to all precautionary measures and ensuring a safe and hasslefree flying experience for the passengers.

IndiGoReach wins the 7th eNabling North East Development Award 2020

National, July 06, 2020: The CSR arm of India’s leading carrier IndiGo – IndiGoReach - has been awarded the 7th eNabling North East Development Award 2019-2020, for improving the livelihood of Tribal communities from Assam- Meghalaya border areas through multiplication of spices. The IndiGoReach women empowerment initiative (IndiGo Shakti) strives to increase income generation opportunities for 1,500 women farmers in 24 villages of Kamrup and Ri-bhoj districts. The award was declared in an online webinar attended by Govt functionaries, corporates, civil society groups, academicians, and other invited participants.
