National, May 25, 2022: For the quarter ended March 2022, which was impacted by the ‘Omicron’ wave, IndiGo reported net loss of INR 16,818 million. Excluding foreign currency loss of INR 6,123, net loss for the quarter aggregated to INR 10,695 million.

IndiGo appoints Pieter Elbers Chief Executive Officer, Rono Dutta retires

National, May 18, 2022: The Board of Directors of InterGlobe Aviation Limited (IndiGo) appoints Pieter Elbers as Chief Executive Officer, subject to regulatory approvals. He will join IndiGo on or before 01 October 2022. He succeeds Mr Ronojoy Dutta (71) who has decided to retire on 30 September 2022, after guiding IndiGo through the turbulent Covid period. Commending his service, Mr Rahul Bhatia, Managing Director of IndiGo said, “The Board of Directors and I would like to thank Rono for effectively leading our business for almost four years with a steady hand through what has been the most turbulent period in the airline’s history and aviation globally”

National, May 12, 2022: Further to the lifting of the Air Bubble Agreement in India and to the necessary governmental approval, Air France-KLM and IndiGo, India’s leading carrier, have implemented the extensive codeshare agreement announced in December 2021.

IndiGo announces appointment of Dr. Venkataramani Sumantran as the Chairman of the Board

National, May 04, 2022: The Board of Directors (Board) of InterGlobe Aviation Limited (IndiGo) today announced the appointment of Dr. Venkataramani Sumantran, an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Board since May 28, 2020, as its Chairman. Dr. Sumantran succeeds Mr. Meleveetil Damodaran, who has stepped down as an Independent Non-Executive Director on May 3, 2022, on attaining the age of 75 years. While thanking Mr. Damodaran for his services, Mr. Rahul Bhatia, Managing Director, IndiGo, said, “It has been a great privilege to have had the benefit of Mr. Damodaran’s wise counsel and steady hand during the difficult and often turbulent COVID period. National, May 04, 2022: - IndiGo, India’s leading carrier, has launched ‘Super 6E” a new product offering with enhanced flying experience on its domestic network. The new “Super 6E” fare will include an extra 10kg baggage allowance, free seat selection including XL seat, meal / snack combo, check-in first and get your bags before anyone else, anytime boarding, delayed and lost baggage protection service, no change fee and reduced cancellation fee, as well as no convenience fee.
