National, December 07, 2022: In honour of Navy Day celebrated on December 04, 2022, IndiGo, India’s leading carrier, is organising a series of events that aim at better understanding of the functioning of Indian Navy and encouraging future aviators about the career prospects in the industry.
IndiGo initiated the celebrations with an immersive learning experience and seminar for young aviators through a career counselling programme at Navy Children School, New Delhi. The engagement continued with talks for naval aviation fraternity on CRM, Risk Management & Fuel Management at INS Hansa, Navy’s premier naval air station at Dabolim, Goa.
This is being followed by a visit of IndiGo personnel with their families to Naval Ships at Mumbai. Shortly thereafter, senior officers from the Naval Air Staff and Air Maintenance Staff from Naval HQ will be visiting ISC (IndiGo’s HQ) and I Fly (IndiGo’s Training Centre) for better understanding of civil aviation operations. Continuing the dialogue, there may also be a visit to Delhi airport for better understanding of IndiGo’s Quality Assurance System.
IndiGo has also sponsored two return air tickets each for Navy personnel from Mumbai and Goa to any domestic destination.
Lastly, IndiGo’s CSR team will visit Sankalp School for differently abled children run by NWWA for an interaction at their convenience.
