Mr. Ronojoy Dutta is an aviation veteran and has held a broad spectrum of leadership positions in Planning, Maintenance, Finance and Information Technology.
A graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, Rono completed his Master’s in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.
Rono was with United Airlines for nearly twenty years. He has also been an advisor to both Air Canada and US Airways during their restructuring and was engaged in long-term consulting contracts with Hawaiian Airlines and Air Canada. He has served on the Boards of United Airlines, US Airways and Marsico Trust Funds. Rono also has experience in the Indian aviation sector having worked with Air Sahara as President for two years.
Mr. Prock-Schauer is an experienced international aviation executive with a total professional experience of over 36 years. He has served as the Chief Executive Officer of some of the major airlines across Europe and Asia.
He is a graduate from the University of Economics, Vienna.
He started his career in 1981 at Austrian Airlines, where he was responsible for network management, strategic planning and alliances, and integration of the airlines Lauda Air and Tyrolean. He has also worked with Jet Airways (India), British Midland International, Air Berlin (Germany/ UK) and Go Air (India). He brings with him decades of experience and world class practices.
Willy Boulter has been in the airline business for over 35 years. He has specific functional experience in all areas of commercial activity, including sales, revenue management, network planning, alliances, international relations, cargo, IT and regional management.
Willy has an MA from Oxford University. He is also an alumnus of ‘Sandhurst’ and served as an officer in the Royal Artillery and Royal Hong Kong Regiment. He is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
He worked with Cathay Pacific for 20 years and thereafter with other airlines including Virgin Atlantic Airways, South African, Etihad and an Emirates-sponsored team in Angola. He was CEO of Russia’s first Low Cost Carrier, Sky Express.
Aditya is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has nearly three decades of experience in finance leadership.
Aditya worked at Arthur Andersen for five years between 1992 & 97 and then joined GE. Some significant previous roles in GE included, Chief Financial Officer - GE Healthcare South Asia, Financial Controller –GE South Asia, Global Financial Planning & Analysis Leader - Genpact and V.P. Finance Operations - GE Capital International Services. During his long tenure at GE, Aditya also had a stint in the US for 2 years.
His last role at GE was Chief Financial Officer - GE Healthcare (India, Africa, ASEAN and Asia-Pacific) where he led the finance function across emerging markets for GE Healthcare and four manufacturing plants. He spent a considerable amount of time at GE creating a reputation of an astute, business focused Chief Financial Officer before joining IndiGo.
Mr. Raghavan earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from University of Madras and Master’s in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations at Madras School of Social Work.
He has been an HR professional for almost 30 years. Prior to joining IndiGo, he was Amazon’s Head of Human Resources responsible for Asia Pacific & Middle East Region. Raj joined Amazon in early 2011 as their India Head of Human Resources and supported the launch of several businesses and technology development centers across the country. Prior to joining Amazon, Raj was Head of HR for GE’s Global Research and India Technology Centers. He initially joined GE in 1999 and held various senior HR leadership positions supporting several businesses in various locations. Prior to this, Raj has held several senior HR leadership positions across geographies in organizations such as Hindustan Unilever, Ford Motor Company and HSBC.
Ms. Priya Mehra is a corporate lawyer with an extensive background working on ‘on-shore’ and ‘off-shore’ transactions in India. During her tenure at various law firms, Priya’s practice areas included mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity transactions, government privatizations, capital markets and general corporate advice. She was also actively involved in the pro bono initiatives undertaken at these firms.
Priya is a post-graduate in Law from University of Delhi and is dual qualified to practice law in India and England & Wales.
She worked for 5 years at AZB & Partners in India. Thereafter, she worked with Jones Day in Singapore, a position she took up in 2007. Priya was working with Gibson Dunn’s Singapore office where she helped build the India practice for close to 8 years, before moving to IndiGo.
Mr. Sanjay Kumar has been a part of the Indian aviation industry for over 25 years and has extensive aviation experience in the areas of Business planning, Network Development, Revenue Management, Sales, Distribution etc. Prior to rejoining IndiGo in 2020, Sanjay worked with Air Asia India as Chief Operating Officer for a year. At IndiGo he was the Chief Commercial Officer for over 11 years between 2007-2018 and headed the commercial function.
He has also worked with SpiceJet and Air Sahara at various positions and has been part of the start teams at these airlines.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Science and Law and a master’s degree in Economics from Meerut University. He has a post graduate diploma in business administration from the Institute of Productivity and Management, Meerut.
Capt. Ashim Mittra has over 20,000 hours of flying and flies as a DGCA Designated Examiner on the Airbus 320. He has been an integral part of IndiGo ever since its inception in 2006.
He started his aviation career as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with Indian Airlines 37 years ago. In 1981, he qualified to become an Airbus 300 Flight Engineer and logged approximately 5000 hrs. as flight engineer, over almost 7 years.
Thereafter, he acquired a Commercial Pilot’s License from the US and from 1987 to 1994 he flew the Boeing 737-200 and A320 planes with Indian Airlines. He went on to gain international exposure and worked with pilots from different cultures and nationalities while flying for Air Lanka from 1994 to 1997. Subsequently, Capt. Ashim Mittra flew with Alliance Air, Air Sahara, and Air India Express as Captain on the 737-200/700/800NG. He was a Check Pilot on the Boeing 737-200 with Alliance Air until he joined IndiGo.
Mr. Peer Mohamed is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst by profession. He joined IndiGo prior to the commencement of our commercial operations, as the Chief Financial Officer and held the position for 8 years before taking up his current role with us.
Mr. Riyaz PeerMohamed holds a bachelor’s degree in science from University of Bombay. He is a Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Chartered Financial Analyst from The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts, Charlottesville, Virginia, USA. He has completed his management education program from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
Previously, Mr. PeerMohamed was with Emirates in Dubai and joined them in November 1989 where he held various positions. His last held position for Emirates was Senior Vice President – Corporate Treasury which he held from August 2001 until May 2006, before joining IndiGo.
Mr. Sanjeev Ramdas is an airline veteran and has headed airport operations for many years. He has been with IndiGo ever since its inception in 2006.
Mr. Sanjeev Ramdas holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from University of Delhi and a post graduate diploma in personnel management and industrial relations from YMCA Institute of Management Studies.
Mr. Ramdas worked for Cambata Aviation Private Limited from 1989 till 1994 as Duty Officer and was in charge of aircraft handling, passenger services and charter flights. Prior to joining IndiGo, he joined InterGlobe Air Transport Limited and was the Director of Airport Services from 1994 till 2006 where he managed the Airport Operations for InterGlobe Air Transport Limited’s airline partners and was responsible for Airport Operations, Customer Services, Emergency Response Procedures and Safety.
Mr. S.C. Gupta is a licensed aircraft engineer by profession and has more than 30 years of experience in the Aviation industry. He eHehas been with IndiGo ever since its inception in the year 2006.
Mr. Gupta is a graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi and has completed his Master’s in Business Administration from the Faculty of Management Studies, New Delhi.
Prior to joining IndiGo, Mr. Gupta was the Director of Engineering for Indian Airlines and was a member of the aircraft purchasing team.
Ms. Suman Chopra, an aviation professional has been with the industry for over 25 years. She has been associated with us since April 2006 as part of our launch team.
Ms. Chopra holds a bachelor’s degree from Lady Irwin College, Delhi University in Food and Nutrition. She has certifications in the field of strategy, change, innovation & leadership from IIM Ahmedabad and NUS, Singapore.
Prior to joining IndiGo, Ms. Chopra was General Manager of the Inflight Services & training division at Air Sahara. She was responsible for designing the training programme for Cabin Crew and played an important role in shaping the inflight services team at Air Sahara. She flew as a cabin crew member with Indian Airlines & Emirates.
