Terms & Conditions
- Fare Type : IndiGo offers ‘Lite Fare’ as its lowest-priced economy fare on all domestic and international routes. Lite Fare permits carriage of only 01 (one) cabin bag up to 7 kg (seven) and does not include any Checked-in Baggage.
- Booking Channel: Lite Fare is available exclusively on IndiGo’s website (www.goindigo.in), mobile application and 6Eskai.
- Inclusions- Lite Fare only includes one cabin bag up to 7 kg with the dimensions 55 x 35 x 25 cm (L x W x H) or 115 cm (L + W +H), which can be stored preferably under the seat.
- Exclusion: Lite Fare does not include:
- Any free Checked-in baggage.
- Complimentary meals or preferred seat selection.
- Assignment or purchase of Upfront Seats.
- Availability on connecting flights, group bookings, code-share bookings, unaccompanied minor bookings, or special fare categories (e.g., senior citizen, student or armed forces).
- Availability beyond direct (non-stop) domestic/international one-way or round-trip bookings.
- This fare type is not available for infant travel.
- Upgrades- Lite Fare bookings cannot be upgraded to higher fare types such as Saver, Flexi Plus, UpFront, IndiGoStretch/Stretch+, through IndiGo’s website, mobile application or 6Eskai, after completion of the booking. However, upgrades to UpFront or IndiGoStretch fare types may be purchased at the airport and in flight, subject to availability and payment of the applicable fare differences and charges.
- Baggage non-compliance: If a Customer arrives at the airport with any Checked-in or an over-weight cabin baggage i.e., exceeding the permitted weight or dimensions, applicable charges for the additional Checked-in Baggage and/or excess Baggage will be payable at the check-in counter. To know such charges, please click here. Failure to make such payment may result in the Customer not being permitted to board the flight by IndiGo.
- Chargeable Add-ons: The following services may be purchased separately:
- Checked-in Baggage (up to 15kg/01pc for domestic flights and up to 20kg/02pcs for international flights): Can be pre-purchased up to 1 hour prior to the scheduled departure through IndiGo’s website or at the airport check-in counter
- Seat Selection: Seats are auto-assigned by IndiGo, however any preferred seat may be purchased at an additional charge.
- In-flight Meals: Available for pre-booking or purchase on board.
- Fast Forward: Priority boarding available at an additional charge.
- Changes and Cancellations: Standard Changes and Cancellation charges are applicable. Please click here to know the charges.
- Check-in: Web check-in is available from 48 hours prior to domestic scheduled departure and 24 hours prior to the international scheduled departure.
- Customer’s responsibility:Customers who require to purchase Checked-in and/or excess Baggage at the airport must arrive sufficiently in advance to complete such purchase, check-in formalities, and to comply with applicable counter and boarding gate closure timelines.
Customers are required to arrive at least 60 (sixty) minutes prior to scheduled departure for domestic flights and 75 (seventy-five) minutes prior for international flights. Failure to adhere to these timelines may result in the Customer being treated as a no-show and not being permitted to board. - Conditions of Carriage: Except for the Terms and Conditions provided herein, all other terms and conditions shall be subject to IndiGo’s Conditions of Carriage available on IndiGo’s website. In case of any conflict between these Terms and Conditions and any other set of terms, these Terms and Conditions will prevail with regards to Lite Fare.
- Right to Withdraw: IndiGo reserves the right to withdraw or modify these terms, at any time, at its absolute discretion, without assigning any reason. The decision of IndiGo in this regard shall be final and binding.
- Governing Law: These terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws in India, and all disputes related to IndiGo Lite Fare shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi, India.
- Data Protection: Any personal data of the Customers which is collected or processed during the Lite Fare booking process shall be done in accordance with IndiGo’s Privacy Policy.
- By purchasing this fare type, the Customer explicitly agree that they have read and understood the above-mentioned Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them.

What is Lite Fare?
Lite Fare is IndiGo’s lowest-priced Economy fare, available on all domestic and international routes. It permits carriage of only one cabin bag up to 7 kg and does not include any checked-in baggage.
Where can I book the Lite Fare?
Lite Fare is available exclusively on IndiGo’s website (www.goindigo.in) and mobile application.
Is the Lite Fare available on all flights?

What baggage allowance is included with the Lite Fare?

Can I add checked-in baggage to my Lite Fare booking?
Yes. Checked-in baggage can be purchased post-booking, during web check-in, or at the airport. Pre-purchase is available up to 1 hour prior to scheduled departure through IndiGo’s website or at the airport check-in counter. What happens if I arrive at the airport with checked-in or cabin baggage exceeding the permitted weight or dimensions?
Additional excess baggage charges for check-in (as applicable) will be levied at the check-in counter or boarding gate. Failure to make the required payment may result in denial of boarding by IndiGo.
Are meals and seat selection included in the Lite Fare?
No. Complimentary meals and preferred seat selection are not included under this fare type. Seats are auto-assigned by IndiGo at no cost. However, any preferred seats may be selected for an additional charge. Please refer to the link here for fees and charges

Can I select an Upfront seat with the Lite Fare?
No. Selection or purchase of Upfront seats is not available with Lite Fare.
Is priority boarding available on Lite Fare?
No, priority boarding is not included with the Lite Fare. However, customers may purchase IndiGo’s Fast Forward service for priority boarding at an additional charge.
Can I upgrade my Lite Fare to a higher fare type?
Lite Fare bookings are not eligible for upgrades to higher fare types such as Saver, Flexi Plus, Upfront, IndiGo Stretch/Stretch+, during or after booking. However, upgrades to Upfront and IndiGoStretch fares are available at the airport or onboard, subject to availability and applicable charges.
How do changes and cancellations work for Lite Fare?
