IndiGo amongst the front runners to herald an era of fuel conservation in Indian aviation

National, April 30, 2019: IndiGo, India’s largest carrier and a responsible airline, steered Indian Civil aviation in a new era of fuel efficiency, in partnership with Ministry of Civil aviation, DGCA and AAI. In its endeavour to add to environment friendly initiatives, 6E 303 landed at Hyderabad’s Shamshabad airport from Delhi at 0848 hrs yesterday after being dispatched under the principle of ‘Dispatch with no destination alternate’. In order to showcase the proof of concept, IndiGo planned to operate 7 trial flights out of which 5 have already completed their journey successfully.

IndiGo awarded the recognition of Top Airline by Absolute Passenger Growth (South Asia) by Changi Airport Group

National, April 25, 2019: IndiGo – India’s largest airline, was named “Top Airline by Absolute Passenger Growth – South Asia” by Singapore-based Changi Airport Group today. In 2018, IndiGo’s traffic in Changi grew by more than 1,44,000 passengers, representing a rise of 57% as compared to 2017. With the stellar increase in traffic, IndiGo registered the strongest growth amongst all South Asian carriers operating in Changi in 2018.

IndiGo to indulge you in retail therapy at 35,000ft with new range of exclusive products

National, April 23, 2019: IndiGo, India’s largest carrier, has revamped its inflight offerings with the addition of 30 new products, effective from April 23, 2019. In addition to these products, there will be many more offerings at the on-ground AVA stores. 6E flyers will also be able to buy the “deal of the month” where they can purchase unique products at heavy discounts. For instance, the current deal of the month is 55% off on Detel 55” UHD-LED Television, offering savings worth INR 44,000.

IndiGo strengthens domestic connectivity from Delhi; introduces daily direct flights to and from Allahabad, Bhopal and Patna

National, April 22, 2019: India’s largest airline, IndiGo, today announced the launch of six additional daily non-stop flights to strengthen connectivity from Delhi. Effective May 25, the airline will operate its first direct flight on Delhi-Allahabad route, second and sixth frequency on Delhi-Bhopal and Delhi-Patna routes respectively.

IndiGo adds 18 flights from Mumbai and Delhi; Bookings open today

National, April 16, 2019: IndiGo, India’s largest carrier, reinforces its commitment to enhance connectivity to and from Mumbai and Delhi. Effective May 2019, the airline will operate 10 additional flights out of Mumbai and 8 additional flights from Delhi. These flights will also connect to IndiGo’s existing domestic and international network. This is an effort to make it easier for customers to find affordable fares during the busy season.

IndiGo strengthens Mumbai as a key travel hub with 3 new international and 20 additional domestic flights

National, April 08, 2019: IndiGo, India’s largest carrier, reinforces its commitment to enhance connectivity to and from Mumbai, with the launch of 3 new international flights and increasing frequency on domestic sectors. IndiGo announces Jeddah and Dammam as its 17th and 18th international destinations. Mumbai will also be connected to Abu Dhabi, which is already an existing IndiGo destination. Effective June 05, 2019, the airline will operate daily non-stop flights between Mumbai-Jeddah and Mumbai-Abu Dhabi. Effective July 05, 2019, the airline will operate daily non-stop flights between Mumbai-Dammam.

IndiGo enhances connectivity in Tier II cities; announces 6 new flights including 4 UDAN routes

National, April 05, 2019: India’s largest airline, IndiGo, today announced the launch of 6 new connections including operations on 4 RCS routes, effective June 22, 2019. The routes under the Regional Connectivity Scheme include Kolkata-Allahabad, Allahabad-Kolkata, Raipur-Allahabad, Allahabad-Raipur. IndiGo continues to strengthen its domestic connectivity with new flights between Kolkata, Allahabad, Raipur and Jabalpur, while developing regional hubs at Allahabad and Kolkata. The new routes will be serviced by an ATR aircraft.

IndiGo awarded Asia’s Best Low-Cost airline by TripAdvisor’s 2019 Travellers' Choice Airline Awards

National, April 04, 2019: IndiGo, India’s largest airline, received the ‘Best Low-Cost Airlines -Asia’ award at Travellers' Choice Airline Awards 2019 by TripAdvisor. The award was received by Mr. Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, Chief Operating Officer, IndiGo. The award recognises travellers’ favourite carriers around the globe and awards them for their operational excellence.
