IndiGo operated repatriation flights for 202 stranded Vietnamese citizens

National, May 20, 2020: In its endeavour to support the nation in repatriation efforts, IndiGo operated two special flights for Vietnamese nationals in India. The IndiGo flight 6E9103 from Bengaluru-PuneDelhi transferred total 103 passengers while the flight 6E9102 from Gaya-Delhi transferred 99 passengers to Delhi, for their return flight to Vietnam. The Charter was initiated by Vietnam Embassy and the flights were operated while observing all precautionary measures.

IndiGo supports Indian Meteorological Department with crucial data for weather forecasting amid COVID-19

National, May 19, 2020: In its endeavour to provide support to the nation, India’s leading carrier, IndiGo is collaborating with the Indian Meteorological Department by providing crucial aircraft data on wind, humidity and temperature relayed by the aircraft sensors. The data, which is imperative for accurate predictions of weather, has been unavailable to the Indian Meteorological Department since a majority of flights are out of operations due to the nationwide lockdown, coupled with staff constraints.

IndiGo brings in medical CarGo to support the nation’s fight against COVID-19

National, May 17, 2020:: In its endeavour to support the nation in the current scenario, IndiGo operated an international CarGo flight, on the Kolkata – Guangzhou – Kolkata route on May 16, 2020. Flight 6E 1377 carried CarGo consisting of medical supplies like face masks and GCRs, from Guangzhou to Kolkata in ‘freighter mode’. The flights were operated while observing all precautionary measures.

Another record-breaking performance by IndiGo, uplifts 20,212 kgs of CarGo

National, May 13, 2020: Keeping its commitment to support the nation and the government, IndiGo has exceeded its own record by uplifting the highest ever tonnage carried on a passenger flight in ‘freighter mode’. The IndiGo CarGo team set another record by uplifting 20,212 kgs on its Kochi-Abu Dhabi freighter flight 6E 9014 on May 12, 2020 by outpacing its last record of 19,193 kgs on an Airbus 320 Kochi-Abu Dhabi flight. The CarGo team of the airline transported total 70.27 CBM of fruits and vegetables by following all safety measures in the flight.

IndiGo exceeds its own record by uplifting 19.19T CarGo on an Airbus A320

National, May 11, 2020: In its endeavour to provide support to the nation and continuously raise benchmarks, IndiGo has outdone its own world record of uplifting the highest ever tonnage carried on an Airbus A320 aircraft with CarGo on passenger seats. The IndiGo CarGo team set a new world record by uplifting 19,193 kgs on its Kochi-Abu Dhabi flight 6E 9061 on May 07, 2020 by surpassing the earlier record of 19,080 kgs on an A320 flight 6E 9059 from Chennai-Dubai. The flight was operated, while observing all precautionary measures, to transport essential supplies of fresh vegetables and fruit.

IndiGo operated special flights to transfer 197 stranded Kenyan citizens to Mumbai for their flight to Nairobi

National, May 08, 2020:In its endeavour to support the nation and stranded passengers, IndiGo operated two special relief flights for Kenyan Nationals in India. The IndiGo flight from Delhi Ahmedabad-Mumbai transferred total 114 passengers while the flight from Chennai-Bangalore Hyderabad-Mumbai transferred 83 passengers to Mumbai, for their return flight. The Charter was initiated by Kenya Embassy and the flights were operated while observing all precautionary measures.

IndiGo transports over 50T in its CarGo flights to Singapore and Maldives

National, May 04, 2020: In its endeavour to provide support to the nation in the current scenario, IndiGo operated three international CarGo flights, to and from Singapore and Maldives. IndiGo flights from Mumbai-Male-Mumbai, Trivandrum-Male-Trivandrum on May 02, 2020 and Mumbai-BengaluruSingapore-Mumbai on April 30, 2020 transported over 50 Tonnes of cargo including pharmaceuticals, fruits and vegetables in the belly and cabin. The flights were operated while observing all precautionary measures.
