American Airlines and IndiGo Announce Codeshare Agreement Providing More Options and Seamless Connectivity Across India

National, September 28, 2021:American Airlines is opening new doors across India this fall thanks to a new codeshare agreement with IndiGo, India’s leading airline. The agreement, announced today, will place American’s code on 29 of IndiGo’s domestic routes in India, providing a convenient option for American Airlines customers arriving on the carrier’s new Bengaluru (BLR) and Delhi (DEL), India, flights. The codeshare, which will require U.S. and Indian governments’ approvals, is expected to begin in October, as American launches new service between New York (JFK) and DEL on Oct. 31 and between Seattle (SEA) and BLR on Jan. 4, 2022.

IndiGo strengthens domestic network, adds 38 new flights in September

National, September 13, 2021:In line with its commitment to enhance domestic connectivity, IndiGo, India’s leading airline will be adding 38 daily flights on its 6E network in the month of September. These 38 new flights will include 24 6E only connecting flights, 2 new flights and 12 flights that the airline will be relaunching after the second wave. IndiGo will operate new flights between Raipur-Pune, while restarting flights between Lucknow-Ranchi, Bengaluru-Vishakhapatnam, Chennai-Indore, LucknowRaipur, Mumbai-Guwahati, and Ahmedabad-Indore.

IndiGo leads average On-Time Performance over the last one year

National, September 08, 2021:IndiGo, India’s leading airline has recorded the highest average On-TimePerformance over the last one year, according to the reports released by DGCA. The airline has been an excellent performer consecutively for the past 12 months, with the highest average OTP of 97.06% across four key metro cities - Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Mumbai. According to the reports, IndiGo registered highest OTP (above 98%) in August, September 2020 and April, May, June 2021.

IndiGo strengthens regional connectivity; commences operations from Gwalior

National, September 01, 2021:In-line with its vision to furtherstrengthen regional connectivity, IndiGo, India’s leading carrier, today commenced operations from Gwalior. The new route was inaugurated with lamp lighting at the Gwalior airport as well as Ministry of Civil Aviation in New Delhi. The ceremony was graced by Honourable Union Minister for Civil Aviation – Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia (virtually), Honourable Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh (virtually-TBC), Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and other eminent dignitaries from Gwalior, Bhopal, and Indore at the Gwalior airport.
