These flights will reduce the travel time to Jakarta significantly and have been introduced keeping in mind the rising demand for travel to Indonesia.

It has also introduced additional frequencies between Dehradun-Mumbai, Leh-Mumbai, Srinagar-Mumbai, Hyderabad-Mumbai, Jammu-Mumbai, Ranchi-Mumbai, Varanasi-Mumbai, Nagpur-Mumbai, AmritsarMumbai routes, effective June 03, 2023. These flights will not only add capacity during the peak summer season but also support in keeping fares affordable. IndiGo now operates 155 domestic flights and 20 international flights to and from Mumbai.

This new route marks IndiGo's entry into the African subcontinent and brings numerous benefits to both business and leisure travellers. IndiGo orders 500 Airbus A320 Family aircraft

National, June 19, 2023: IndiGo, India's most preferred airline, is further defining its long-term future, well into the next decade, by placing a firm order for 500 Airbus A320 Family aircraft. This will provide IndiGo a further steady stream of deliveries between 2030 and 2035. This 500 aircraft order is not only IndiGo’s largest order, but also the largest-ever single aircraft purchase by any airline with Airbus. The engine selection for this order will be done in due course and so will be the exact mix of A320 and A321 aircraft.

National, June 02, 2023: IndiGo, India's preferred airline, is taking a massive step in its international expansion strategy with the addition of six new destinations across Asia, and Africa. It will connect Nairobi, Kenya and Jakarta, Indonesia, with direct flights from Mumbai in late July / early August. Delhi will get connected in August to Tbilisi, Georgia (3x) & Baku, Azerbaijan (4x) and in September to Tashkent, Uzbekistan (4x), and Almaty, Kazakhstan (3x) *. IndiGo is therefore adding an impressive 174 new weekly international flights between June and September 2023, including new destinations, routes, and frequencies, catering to the rising demand for international travel from, to and via India.
