Visa Information

    • Customers travelling to UAE (Dubai and Sharjah) maybe required to get their visas verified. After verification, the relevant office will insert an ‘OK to Board’ message in the booking.
       
      Please note that ‘OK to Board’ message is not required for the following categories of travellers for travel to UAE (Dubai and Sharjah):

      • Customers holding valid Resident Permit or passport stamped with Resident Visa
      • Customers eligible for “Visa On Arrival” irrespective of nationality
      • Customers travelling with a print-out of Business & Tourist e-Visa

      ‘OK to Board’ message is mandatory for the below categories:

      • All customers holding ECR (Emigration Check Required) passport
      • All customers travelling with a print-out of Labour & Work e-visa

      ‘OK to Board’ can be processed at IndiGo’s Sales Office in Dubai or any of the Akbar Travels or Deira Travel locations listed below.  The staff concerned will verify the authenticity of the visa and insert “OK to Board” message on PNR. A service charge of AED 20 will be levied to the sponsor at the time of verification of visa. This charge may change without prior notice. Please note that the visa copy will be retained by the office / agency.

Nationals of India with a visa issued by Australia, Canada, Japan, USA, United Kingdom or a Schengen Member State , valid for the period of intended stay, can obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 14 days. They must have a return/onward ticket, a hotel reservation confirmation and a health insurance. This also applies to accompanying spouse and children younger than 18 years. 
      3. Information 1: Visa on arrival fee must be paid in local currency (OMR) or by credit card.

      4. Passengers with a "Visa Deposit Receipt" can obtain a visa on arrival.
      5. Visas can be obtained at https://www.rop.gov.om/OnlineServices/eVisa/en/

      Additional Information:

      1. Valid visas in a full or invalidated travel document are accepted if accompanied by a new travel document of the same nationality.
      2. TWOV (Transit Without Visa): Passengers with a confirmed onward ticket for a flight to a third country within 24 Hours. The connecting flight must be booked on the same ticket. They must stay in the international transit area of the airport and have documents required for the next destination.

      Warning: Visitors not holding return/onward tickets could be refused entry.

      Information 1: Exempt are holders of: Employment Visa, Family Joining/Family Residence Visa, Student Resident Visa, Investor Resident Visa.

      Visa Issuance:

      Nationals of India with a normal passport can obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 30 days. They must travel as tourists and have:

      3. a credit card or a debit card with at least USD 1,400 per family;
      4. a hotel reservation confirmation.

        4. for holders of diplomatic passports issued to nationals of Armenia, Germany, Greece, Japan, Lithuania, Macedonia (FYROM), Malta, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine.
        5. for holders of diplomatic passports issued to nationals of France.
          Information 1: The max. stay is granted within 6 months.
      7. A maximum stay of 60 days for holders of diplomatic or official passports issued to nationals of Cambodia.
      8. A maximum stay of 30 days:
        1. for holders of diplomatic or official passports issued to nationals of Croatia, Ecuador, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Lao People's Dem. Rep., Philippines, Tajikistan and Uruguay.
        2. for holders of diplomatic passports issued to nationals of Bangladesh and Turkmenistan.

      Visa Issuance:

      1. Nationals of Australia, Brazil, Cambodia, Djibouti, Fiji, Finland, Germany, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Kiribati, Korea (Rep.), Lao People's Dem. Rep., Luxembourg, Marshall Isl., Mauritius, Mexico, Micronesia (Federated States), Myanmar, Nauru, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Russian Fed., Samoa, Singapore, Solomon Isl., Thailand, Tonga, Tuvalu, USA, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Vanuatu and Vietnam holding a printed copy of an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) can obtain a visa on arrival for a max. stay of 30 days, when:
        1. holding a normal passport valid for at least 6 months on arrival, containing at least two unused visa pages, and holding a return/onward ticket, and
        2. arriving at Bengaluru (BLR), Chennai (MAA), Delhi (DEL), Goa (GOI), Hyderabad (HYD), Kochi (COK), Kolkata (CCU), Mumbai (BOM) or Thiruvananthapuram (TRV).
          1. The ETA can be obtained online 4 to 30 days before travel at Indian Visa Online.
          2. Visa on arrival allows only a single entry and is issued max. 2 times in a calendar year. 
          3. Visa on arrival is not available to persons of Pakistani origin. ETA Fee (paid online): USD 60.
      2. Holders of normal passports issued by the Palestinian Territory, holding a printed copy of an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA), can obtain a visa on arrival for a max. stay of 30 days, when:
        1. holding a normal passport valid for at least 6 months on arrival, containing at least two unused visa pages, and holding a return/onward ticket, and
        2. arriving at Bengaluru (BLR), Chennai (MAA), Delhi (DEL), Goa (GOI), Hyderabad (HYD), Kochi (COK), Kolkata (CCU), Mumbai (BOM) or Thiruvananthapuram (TRV).
          1. The ETA can be obtained online 4 to 30 days before travel at Indian Visa Online.
          2. Visa on arrival allows only a single entry and is issued max. 2 times in a calendar year.
          3. Visa on arrival is not available to persons of Pakistani origin. ETA Fee (paid online): USD 60

      1. TWOV (Transit without Visa):

      2. Person of Indian Origin (PIO) Cards have indefinite validity, regardless of the expiry date specified on the card, provided the PIO card holder has a valid passport.
      3. Indian visa stickers have no seal/signature from the issuing authority.
        1. Information 1: Not applicable to PIO card holders.
      4. Nationals of Maldives must have at least 60 days between visits. The max. stay is granted within 6 months.
      5. Nationals of Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan and Sudan holding multiple entry Tourist Visas (type T), with a validity ranging from above 3 months and up to 10 years, are required to have at least 60 days between visits. (S  Information 1: Those wishing to re-enter before the 60 days have expired must contact an Indian mission abroad to obtain permission. Travelers intending to make side-trips to neighboring countries as part of the same journey, should submit details of their complete itinerary, with supporting documentation, such as reservations, to an Indian mission or to the immigration officer upon initial entry into India, to obtain permission for multiple entries as part of that journey.       6. Nationals of China (People's Rep.) (excluding holders of Hong Kong (SAR China) and Macao (SAR China) passports) holding multiple entry Tourist Visas (type T), with a validity ranging from above 3 months and up to 10 years, are required to have at least 60 days between visits. Information 1: Those wishing to re-enter before the 60 days have expired must contact an Indian mission abroad to obtain permission.       9. Visa extensions possible, except for "T" (tourist) visas and Transit visas, by applying at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Information 1: Not applicable to PIO card holders.
      10. Valid visas in expired passports are still acceptable, provided accompanied by a valid passport of the same nationality of the expired passport.
      11. Holders of visas that specifically state the city/airport of entry must enter India at the specified city/airport. Information 1: Not applicable to PIO card holders.
      12. Visa exemption does not apply to nationals of Cyprus, Hungary, Israel, Lao People's Dem. Rep., Russian Fed. and Tajikistan holding diplomatic or official passport, if employed by an international organization
      13. Nationals of any country other than Bhutan, Maldives and Nepal, belonging to a Tourist Group arriving by air for a stay of a specified period: Travel agency (approved by the Indian Ministry of Tourism) should obtain prior permission from the Immigration Officer in charge. The representative of the local travel agency will be held responsible for accompanying the group at all times during their stay in India. Permission to enter the country will be granted only upon submission of the name of the group, the number of passengers, details of the itinerary (incl. port of departure) and passport number, date of birth and nationality of each passenger. Information 1: Not applicable to PIO card holders.
      14. Restricted/Protected Area Permits: A permit is required for foreigners wishing to visit the following:
        1. Protected Areas:
          1. Parts of State of Manipur
          2. Parts of State of Mizoram
          3. Parts of State of Arunachal Pradesh
          4. Whole of State of Nagaland
          5. Whole of State of Sikkim
          6. Parts of State of Uttaranchal.
          7. Parts of State of Jammu and Kashmir.
          8. Parts of State of Rajasthan.
          9. Parts of State of Himachal Pradesh.
        2. Restricted Areas:
          1. Whole of Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands
          2. Part of the state of Sikkim
            Information 1: Not required for nationals of:
      15. Bhutan traveling by air to/from Bhutan via Bagdogra,
      16. Nepal travelling by air to/from Kathmandu.
      17. If surface travel via restricted areas is involved, passengers must hold a "pass" issued by the Foreigners Regional Registration Office or the Superintendent of police, or the diplomatic representation of India in Bhutan or Nepal.

      Warning:

      1. Holders of normal passports issued by Pakistan must hold 2 copies of their visa application form (issued by an Indian embassy / high commission).
      2. Visitors holding tourist or business visas must hold return / onward tickets. (See NOTE 57490) (See NOTE 57548)
        Information 1: Not applicable to PIO card holders
        Information 2: Not applicable to holders of multiple entry visa, issued for validity period of at least 1 year.

      Passport exemptions:

      1. Holders of an Emergency Identity Certificate issued to nationals of India.
      2. Holders of photo identity cards issued to nationals of India, provided arriving directly by air from Nepal.
      3. Holders of photo identity cards issued to nationals of Nepal, provided arriving directly by air from Nepal.
      4. Holders of a UN "Laissez-Passer".
      5. Holders of a German identity document (Kinderausweis) issued to minors.
      6. Holders of a Certificate of Identity issued to refugees and stateless persons residing in India, provided endorsed with a No Objection to Return to India (NORI) Certificate.
      7. Holders of travel documents issued to stateless persons and refugees.

      Document Validity:

      1. Passports and/or passport replacing documents must be valid on arrival.
      2. British passports endorsed British Citizen that have been extended 12 months by an extension stamp contained within the passport are accepted.

      Admission and Transit Restrictions:

      1. Nationals of Pakistan are only allowed to enter or transit through India if arriving at Chennai (MAA), Delhi (DEL) or Mumbai (BOM).
      2. Visitors holding tourist or business visas must hold return/onward tickets.

          Information 1: Not applicable to PIO card holders.

          Information 2: Not applicable to holders of multiple entry visa, issued for validity period of at least 1 year.

      3. Passengers arriving from Guinea, Liberia, Mali and Sierra Leone must enter India through one of the following airports: Bangalore (BLR), Chennai (MAA), Cochin (COK), Delhi (DEL), Hyderabad (HYD), Kolkata (CCU) or Mumbai (BOM). Admission is refused if arriving at any other airport.
      4. Admission and transit refused to holders of Iraqi "S" series passport

      Additional Information:

      1. Minors: Nationals of India or Nepal, traveling directly from Nepal, aged:
        1. up to/incl. 9 years of age, do not require any documentation, if accompanied by parents/guardian, or
        2. 10 up to/incl. 18 years of age, can travel with a certified identity document containing photo, issued by the Principal or Head of an educational institution.
      2. Indian law does not permit dual nationality for nationals of India. An Indian national holding dual nationality must contact their embassy/high commission for further information.
      3. Passengers arriving from Guinea, Liberia, Mali and Sierra Leone at Bangalore (BLR), Chennai (MAA), Cochin (COK), Delhi (DEL), Hyderabad (HYD), Kolkata (CCU) or Mumbai (BOM) are subject to enhanced passenger screening and medical checks.
    • Visa Requirements: Visa required.

      Visa exemptions: Passengers of Turkish origin with a foreign passport and a national ID card issued by Turkey (Nufus Card).

      • Visa Issuance: E-visas can be obtained before departure at www.evisa.gov.tr. Passengers must have an electronic or a printed e-visa confirmation.

      Additional Information: Visitors exceeding the allowed time of stay must obtain a permit of residence ("Ikamet Vesikasi") at immigrations and must present it upon departure.   

      Warning: Visitors who require a visa and do not hold return/onward tickets could be refused entry.

    • Passport Requirement: Passport required.

      Document Validity: Normal passports issued to nationals of India must be valid for a minimum of 90 days from the arrival date.

      Minors: Up to/inclusive 18 years of age may be included in parent's passport.

      Warning:

      1. Passengers holding travel documents not printed in the Latin alphabet will be refused entry.
      2. Passports and all other travel documents in booklet form of all non-Turkish nationals must contain at least 1 unused visa page. Please note that this does not include the page reserved for "Observations" or "Amendments and Endorsements".
      3. Passports and other travel documents accepted for entry are considered valid until the day before the expiration date.
    • Visa Requirements: Visa required.

      Additional Information: Passengers with a work permit traveling to Kuwait for the first time are required to hold an original Criminal Clearance Certificate authenticated by Kuwait Embassy in the country of residence. In case of no Kuwait Embassy in the country of residence, authentication is not required.

      Warning: 

      1. Visitors not holding return/onward tickets could be refused entry.
      2. Passengers with an article-14 visa in their passport are not allowed to re-enter Kuwait with this visa even if it is still valid. The article-14 visa is an exit permit.

      Document Validity:

      1. Passport and other documents accepted for entry must be valid for minimum 6 months from the arrival date.
      2. Passports and other travel documents accepted for entry are considered valid until the day before the expiration date.

      Admission and Transit Restrictions:
      Passengers are not allowed to enter.

      Information 1: This does not apply to children, husbands and wives of nationals of Kuwait.

      Information 2: This does not apply to domestic workers accompanied by nationals of Kuwait.

      Information 3: This does not apply to passengers with a visa or an e-visa issued by Kuwait.

    • Visa Requirements: Visa required.

      Visa exemptions: Nationals of India for a maximum stay of 90 days.

      Visa Issuance:

      1. Nationals of India traveling as tourists can obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 30 days. They must have a hotel reservation confirmation. They can apply to extend their stay for an additional 60 days.
      2. Passengers traveling on business or on duty can obtain a visa on arrival if holding an application form approved by the Maldives Immigration.

      Additional Information: 
      Visitors are required to hold at least USD 100.- per person per day to cover their stay.
      Information 1: This does not apply to passengers with a Maldivian sponsor.

      Warning: Visitors not holding return/onward tickets could be refused entry.

    • Passport Requirement: Passport required.

      Document Validity: Passports and other documents accepted for entry must be valid for a minimum of 1 month from the arrival date.

      Additional Information:

      1. Passports must be machine-readable to enter and transit.
      2. Minors must have their own passport.

      Warning:

      1. Minors: Minors must have their own passport.
      2. Passengers with an extended validity in their passports are not allowed to enter.
      3. Passengers traveling as tourists must have a hotel reservation confirmation for the entire stay in a registered tourist facility.
    • Visa Requirements: Visa required.

      Visa Issuance: Passengers traveling as tourist can obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 90 days. 

      Additional Information:

      1. Military: Nepal has no sea harbour, therefore Merchant Seamen cannot be travelling on duty to Nepal.
      2. TWOV (Transit with VISA): Holders of confirmed onward tickets transiting. (Indigo doesn’t accept any TWOV as we don’t have any agreement with OAL.)

      Passport Exemptions: Nationals of India with a Voter’s registration card, if arriving directly from India.

      • Admission and transit refused to holders of Iraqi "S" series passports.

       

      Crew Members:

      • Passport and Crew Member ID Card are required. Passport must contain enough unused pages in case an additional immigration stamp is required. Crew have to complete a General Declaration Form upon arrival. For crew of ad-hoc flights this form is completed by Oman Air Handling at Muscat International Airport. All crew must wear a uniform.

       

      Military:

      • Same regulations as for passengers apply.
    • Visa Requirements: Visa required.

      Additional Information:

      1. A pilgrim visa is worded in the Arab language only. Business and visitors' visas are bilingual (Arabic/English).
      2. Valid visas in expired passports are accepted, if accompanied by a valid passport of the same nationality.
      3. For infant’s below 6 months will be issued visa on arrival in concurrence to the father’s Iqama.

      Warning: Passengers without an Umrah visa issued by Saudi Arabia are not allowed to perform Umrah.

        Information 4: Domestic workers of nationals of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. They must be accompanied by the sponsor. 

        Information 5: Umrah passengers.

      2. Passengers arriving from Iran, Lebanon or Turkey are not allowed to enter.

      Additional Information:

      1. Minors: Minors younger than 1 year with their own passport can obtain a visa on arrival if traveling with one parent. The parent must have a residence permit issued by Saudi Arabia.
      2. Visitors are required to comply with local laws in respect of general appearance and behavior. Those not complying could be refused entry.

      Warning:

      1. Passengers who in the past 14 days have been in Iran, Lebanon or Turkey are not allowed to enter.
      2. Passengers must download and register on the TAWAKKALNA app before departure or on arrival.
      3. Passengers with a visit visa must have medical insurance to cover COVID-19 expenses.

      Visa Issuance:

      1. E-visas can be obtained by authorized visa agents/partners or local contacts before departure at http://www.ica.gov.sg/. Passengers must have a printed e-visa confirmation with barcode.
      2. Expectant mothers visiting Singapore for the purpose of delivering their child in Singapore must apply for a Visit Pass prior to their visit. The Visit Pass can be applied for at ica.gov.sg(Apply for Visit Pass). Applications take 4 to 6 weeks to process. A Visit Pass is not required for nationals of Singapore or residents of Singapore holding a Re-entry Permit issued by Singapore.

Nationals of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova (Rep.), Russian Fed., Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan holding onward tickets for a max transit time of 96 hours under the Visa Free Transit Facility (VFTF).         3. Nationals of China (People's Rep.) and India can also transit, for up to 96 hours without a visa under the Visa Free Transit Facility (VFTF) on either the outbound or return leg of the same journey (but not on both). Leaving the transit area is allowed.
        4. Nationals of China (People's Rep.) and India may use the VFTF if holding a Residence Permit (still valid for at least one month) issued by Australia, Canada, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, USA and United Kingdom.
        5. Holders of a valid single entry visa (or multiple entry visa valid for at least one month) issued by Australia, Canada, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, USA or United Kingdom to nationals of China (People's Rep.) and India may use the VFTF. After using a single entry visa and the VFTF was not used on the outbound leg of the journey, the VFTF can only be used on the return leg with a direct transit through Singapore from the country that issued the visa to the country of residence (e.g., SYD-SIN-PEK).
        6. Hotel accommodation is available within the transit area of Singapore Airport (SIN).
        7. 6E is a low cost carrier which is why we provide only point to point journey and no transfer desk facility is available in SIN transit area.
      3. Military:

They must have a confirmed return/onward ticket with a departure within 15 days from arrival date, a proof of accommodation, 1 recent passport photo and at least THB 10,000.- per person (or THB 20,000.- per family). Their passport must contain at least 1 unused visa page and the visa fee must be paid in cash only and in THB.
      2. Nationals of India with an emergency passport traveling as tourists can obtain a visa on arrival at Bangkok (BKK and DMK), Chiang Mai (CNX), Chiang Rai (CEI), Hat Yai (HDY), Krabi (KBV), Phuket (HKT), Samui Int'l (USM), Sukhothai Int'l (THS), Surat Thani (URT) and Utapao (UTP) for a maximum stay of 15 days.       1. ACMECS Single Visa issued by Cambodia and Thailand are valid for 90 days from the date of issue and are valid for a stay of 60 days in Thailand. Holders of visas issued by Cambodia (marked KHA) will be required to pay their fee for Thailand upon arrival in Thailand.
      2. Visitors older than 12 years who have a visa must hold sufficient funds to cover their stay (at least THB 20,000 per person or THB 40,000 per family). Proof of funds includes Letters of Credit, vouchers, Miscellaneous Charges Orders (MCO) or well-known credit cards, which are honored in Thailand.

      3. Passengers with a normal passport and a confirmation that a visa has been approved before departure can obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 96 hours, 30 days or 90 days. Passengers must have a passport valid for a minimum of 6 months from the arrival date. The visa approved before departure must be deposited by the sponsor at the Immigration Authorities. 

      Information 1: Deportation on the same flight will follow if sponsor (or representative) is not present at the time of passenger's arrival at the airport.
