      • Visa not required.
      • Period of stay is based on scheduled departing flight. Crew of ad-hoc flights are permitted to stay up to 5 days.

      • Same regulations as for passengers apply.

       

      Visa Issuance:

      • Holders of normal passports issued to nationals of New Zealand traveling as tourist can obtain a single entry visa on arrival, for a max. stay of 3 months. Free of charge.
      • Holders of normal, emergency or temporary passports issued to nationals of Brunei Darussalam and Korea (Rep.) traveling as tourist can obtain a single entry visa on arrival, for a max. stay of 1 month. Free of charge.
      • Holders of normal, emergency or temporary passports issued to nationals of Brunei Darussalam, Korea (Rep.) and New Zealand traveling on business can obtain a multiple entry visa on arrival, for a max. stay of 3 weeks. Fee: OMR 50. (See NOTE 51957)
        • NOTE 51957: There are no currency exchange facilities available at Salalah (SLL). Visa on arrival fee must by paid in local currency (OMR) or by credit card.

      • Alien residents of GCC Member States employed as high-skilled professionals can obtain a visa on arrival for a max. stay of 28 days if arriving directly from a GCC Member State. For details, click here. Facility also available to accompanying spouse and children, if their residence permit is valid for at least 3 months. Extension of further 7 days possible. Fee: OMR 5 per person. List of eligible professions available at Sultanate of Oman (Royal Oman Police). (See NOTE 51957)

      • Employees (housemaid, nanny, cook or chauffeur) of nationals or residents of GCC Member States can obtain a visa on arrival for a max. stay of 1 month, provided accompanying the sponsor or a family member of the sponsor, and residence permit is valid for at least 3 months. For details, click here. Extension of 1 month possible. Fee: employees of nationals of Kuwait and Saudi Arabia: OMR 5, otherwise free of charge. (See NOTE 51957)

      • Holders of British diplomatic and official passports can obtain their visa on arrival, free of charge.
      • Holders of diplomatic, service and special passports issued to nationals of Algeria can obtain their visa on arrival for a max. stay of 90 days, free of charge.
      • Holders of Chinese Taipei (on the cover: Republic of China Taiwan) diplomatic and official passports can obtain a visa on arrival, free of charge.
      • Nationals of any country can obtain a single entry transit visa on arrival for a max. stay of 72 hours, provided visa has been pre-arranged in advance with the airline. Fee: OMR 5, free of charge for transit of max. 24 hours.

      Additional Information:

      • A residency visa is issued to alien residents of Oman instead of a residence permit.

      Warning:

      • Visitors not holding return/onward tickets could be refused entry.
      • Exempt are holders of: Employment Visa, Family Joining/Family Residence Visa, Student Resident Visa, Investor Resident Visa.
    • Passport Requirement: Passport required

      Following are the Passport Exemptions:

      • Holders of a National ID Card issued to nationals of Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.
      • Holders of a National ID Card issued to nationals of Oman.
      • Holders of emergency or temporary passports.
      • Holders of travel documents issued to stateless persons.

       

      Document Validity:

      • Passports and/or passport replacing documents must be valid for at least 6 months from date of arrival.
      • Passports and/or passport replacing documents issued to nationals of Oman must be valid on arrival.
      • Passports issued to nationals of Thailand must be valid for at least 1 month from date of arrival.
      • Passports and/or passport replacing documents issued to residents of Oman must be valid on arrival.
      • British passports endorsed British Citizen that have been extended 12 months by an extension stamp contained within the passport are accepted.

       

      Admission and Transit Restrictions:

      • Admission is refused to nationals of Israel.
      • Admission and transit refused to holders of Iraqi "S" series passports.

       

      Crew Members:

      • Passport and Crew Member ID Card are required. Passport must contain enough unused pages in case an additional immigration stamp is required. Crew have to complete a General Declaration Form upon arrival. For crew of ad-hoc flights this form is completed by Oman Air Handling at Muscat International Airport. All crew must wear a uniform.

       

      Military:

    • Oman Tourist visa

      Tourist visa validity

      For both the 10-day and 30-day visa, the validity period is up to three months from the date of issue.

      Stay duration of the tourist visa

      Once you arrive in Oman, visitors having a 10-day Oman tourist visa can stay for a maximum of 10 days, and those with a 30-day Oman visa can stay for a maximum of 30 days.

      Processing time for tourist visas

      The processing time for an Oman tourist visa may take four to five working days, except for Friday, Saturday, and national holidays observed in Oman. But remember, the process may take longer if the information provided by you is not correct. 

    • Oman Business visa

      For business purposes, visitors need to apply for an Oman business visa. This visa allows a person to enter the country to work; in which case they have to be sponsored by a local company in Oman. Once you get the business visa, a person needs to use it within a three-month period.

    • Oman Student visa

      The students coming to Oman to study are granted a student visa.  Based on the duration of your course, you will be provided with the visa type. Generally, a student visa is valid for one to two years from the date of entry.

      • An invitation letter from the university or school in Oman
      • Your passport must be valid for a minimum of six months from the date of departure

      The student visa is valid for six months after it is issued. However, the duration also depends on your course.

    • Oman Transit visa
