IndiGo announces new connections to France and Austria via Turkey

National, November 29, 2022: In its bid to strengthen international connectivity, IndiGo, India’s leading carrier has announced the launch of connecting flights to Austria and France via Turkey, through its codeshare partnership with Turkish Airlines. The new routesfrom Istanbul to Paris, Lyon, Nice and Toulouse will be effective from November 30, 2022, and the route from Istanbul to Salzburg, Austria will be effective from December 01, 2022. The new flights will provide customers with multiple options and easy access to international destinations for the upcoming holiday season.

IndiGo commences operations from Hollongi, Itanagar

National, November 28, 2022: In line with its vision to enhance connectivity to the northeast, IndiGo, India’s preferred airline commenced its operations from Donyi Polo Airport in Itanagar effective November 28, 2022. The first flight from Itanagar to Mumbai and Kolkata was inaugurated with lamp lighting by RK Singh, Principal Advisor to the Managing Director, IndiGo. Itanagar will be 75th domestic and 101st overall destination in the 6E network. A second frequency between Kolkata and Itanagar will commence on December 03, 2022.

IndiGo CarGo operated its first international flight between Kolkata-Yangon

National, November 23, 2022: IndiGo, India’s leading carrier operated its first international A321 P2F freighter flight between Kolkata and Yangon on November 22, 2022. The freighter aircraft carried general CarGo with the payload of more than 19,000 kg. The freighter recently carried CarGo between Delhi and Mumbai.

IndiGo inaugurates its second MRO facility at the Kempegowda International Airport

National, November 23, 2022: IndiGo, India’s leading carrier inaugurated its second maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) facility at the Kempegowda International Airport on November 17, 2022. The 13,000- sq mts hangar is built on five acres of land and is the second largest maintenance facility at the Bengaluru Airport. IndiGo has signed a 20-year pact with Bengaluru International Airport Ltd. for the facility.

IndiGo CarGo commences operations with its first freighter flight between Delhi & Mumbai

National, November 15, 2022: IndiGo, India’s leading carrier has commenced operations of its first A321 Freighter aircraft between Delhi and Mumbai, effective November 15, 2022. The aircraft converted from passenger jet to a full freighter configuration will be used for general freight on the inaugural Delhi- Mumbai flight, while carrying general and e-commerce CarGo on the return leg. These inaugural flights will carry a payload of more than 20 tons on each leg.

IndiGoReach working towards the socio-economic empowerment of women in Assam & Meghalaya

National, November 09, 2022: IndiGo’s CSR arm, IndiGoReach in partnership with Grameen Sahara has been working towards the development of a socio-economic ecosystem to support 1,670 tribal women across 24 villages in Assam and Meghalaya. The program empowered women farmers to better promote spices, mainly turmeric, ginger, black pepper, and king chilli, to substantially increase their annual income. These women hail from the villages in the Assam-Meghalaya border areas in Kamrup and Ri Bhoi districts.
