On February 2, Sunday, I flew from Coimbatore to Mumbai on the 2:00 PM flight (6E-294). I was bringing with me my 90--year old mother who could barely walk even with the help of the walker; These are the highlights of my flight experience: 1.The ground staff of Coimbatore were very courteous and professional in understanding my problems in bringing my 90-year old amma with me. They post-haste provided wheel chair assistance for me from the time my amma got off the taxi drop-off point. 2. In particular, Mr. Vimalesh, the young man who wheeled my amma right up to the plane, was so courteous and professional that he simply refused my small Thank-You gift to him. He refused it even when I asked my amma to give it to him. He told my mother, "My Patti (grandmother in Tamil) is also ninety year old, and when I see you, I remember her." I almost cried. 3. The cabin crew in the flight, the sharp, smart, young women, were also very professional and courteous to my problems in taking my mom in the flight. 4. I kept my mom in diapers just in case, to avoid any "accidents,". Fortunately she was OK. When I took my mom into the plane's toilet -- I went into the toilet with my mom -- to help her, your cabin's flight attendants were very courteous in helping me. 5. The icing on the cake was that the flight was ON-TIME both at CJB and BOM. I was looking forward with trepidation long flight-delays. Overall, it was the most satisfying segment of my travel in India. This is perhaps the most professional flight service one can ever hope for anywhere. I say this after flying over a million miles in many parts of the world on many carriers. I would like you to share the contents of this e-mail with the ground staff at Coimbatore and the flight crew 6E-294 on Feb 2, and their supervisors. Hi, I thought I should take a couple of minutes to pen down the exemplary service I received from all your staff and more particularly, one of your call center executives, Mr. Richard Joseph - on the morning of 31st January. I was travelling to Chandigarh with one of the competition airlines (I frankly never considered them competition) when after an hour of delay, we were told our flight is cancelled with no sight of the next flight. I then figure that there is an IndiGo flight to Chandigarh in a little under an hour and frantically call the call center since I can't make an online booking and I was in a different terminal from the IndiGo counter at the airport (and my luggage from the cancelled flight hasn't even come yet - you can imagine the timeline I was working with.) Mr. Richard Joseph promptly makes a booking for me telephonically and calls back so I can make the credit card payment - however for his bad luck (or mine), the IVR platform wasn't working so he couldn't complete the booking formalities. I literally begged him for a way out since I had to attend my best friend's wedding (and there was practically no way I could miss it). He was calm and composed, and extremely efficient and managed to book and share a PNR without any payment. He then told me I should rush to the IndiGo counter as quickly as possible (I had about 55 mins till flight time and I'm still in a different terminal) to make the payment if I had any chance of making it on the flight. I ran with all my life to the IndiGo terminal, made it about 50 mins before the flight - and the young lady at the counter made a credit card swipe as quickly as she could (of course, it helped that I was panting for dear life). I then ran again to the check-in counter inside the airport where the staff present there (unfortunately I do not recollect the names of the latter two since I was in such a rush) issued me a boarding pass as quickly as he could. By that point, I was just mind blown by the service. We're talking of not one or two, but THREE staff being the best they possibly could - I was amazed. Well my flight to Chandigarh eventually got diverted to Delhi from where I had to take a bus (I eventually missed all wedding celebrations sadly). But even at the Delhi Airport, everything was so well organized - the staff who guided us, the bus, and the snack arrangements. Even on the flight, the pilot constantly kept updating us on the weather conditions in Chandigarh (so we weren't left clueless and haggard which is the case with most other airlines). I never knew such service levels exist in the market. While I did miss the wedding, I didn't feel frustrated at the end of the day. Ultimately, it's the little things that count. (I can't blame IndiGo for bad weather in Chandigarh.) I've always been an IndiGo fan for many, many years now but this experience just topped it all, hence I thought I should pen it down. I would like to thank each and every one of the IndiGo staff I had the pleasure of interacting with that morning right from Mr. Richard Joseph at the call center, the lady at the counter (Terminal 1B - Mumbai), the staff at the check-in counter, the pilot and the air hostesses. It's rarely that these folks get appreciation for their outstanding service. Being from the service industry myself, I always believe that when the going's good no one complains. It's only when something is amiss or faulty do people bring the roof down. Hence I thought I should thank the people who rightfully deserve recognition. ".... Dear Sirs, I had the pleasure of travelling by IndiGo flight 6e382 on 11 February 2014 from Chennai to Hyderabad. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was delayed while reaching the Airport. In addition, the new locations for Arrivals and Departures caused confusion and more loss of precious time. I was at the counter just 10 minutes prior to departure, carrying 02 bags of luggage. During this time, your Traffic Staff were continuously in touch with me. They were courteous and quick in finding solutions. My bags were registered manually and the tags were handed over to me on the run. On arriving at the RGIA, while on the Aerobridge, I was given good advice. Accordingly, I approached the first counter which I saw near conveyor no.1. Once again, I was received with courtesy and reassurances that my baggage would be on the next flight 6e 315, and all the necessary enquiries and arrangements were made immediately by the Asst. Manager, Customer Relations, Hyderabad, Ms.Zenobia Hormusji, who even helped me collect my bags from the belt. I was very relieved to find my bags and that all their contents were safe and intact. I hereby record my sincere thanks and appreciation to all the concerned Staff, both at Chennai and at Hyderabad for their kindness, professionalism and sound judgment. Puri would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Zahid from IndiGo Airlines at the Hyderabad airport for the tremendous amount of help extended to me and our family members in helping us get our deceased father ( Mr. B. L. Puri ) to Mumbai. My father was scheduled to travel back to Mumbai from Hyderabad on 5th February 2014 via the 3.00 pm IndiGo flight. As he was about to check in, he suffered a massive heartache and collapsed on his wheel chair. Thanks to Mr. Zahids prompt help my dad was rushed to the hospital immediately but unfortunately he did not revive and passed away. We consider Mr. Zahid as Gods personal messenger sent to look after our dad at the Hyderabad airport when none of his family members were not around. It was Mr. Zahid who was with us from 2.30 PM TO 9.30 PM and looked after all the necessary formalities to help us bring our dad back to Mumbai for his last rites. It would have been impossible for us to get our dad back in 7 hours without the gods messenger Mr. Zahid. I must tell you all it is not companies who make people but it is people who make companies. On my return (from Jammu to Kolkata via Delhi by IndiGo) I left my laptop at Jammu airport, at security point. One can understand the anxiety I was suffering from. However, after reaching Kolkata, I contacted IndiGo office. I must mention they behaved very nicely, registered the matter in a register book and assured me to do the needful. They also gave me a number of Jammu airport to contact. Later on I made a call on that number and a female voice responded. After hearing my problem, she also consoled me very nicely and assured me to look into the matter. I became bit relaxed and anxiety free. She also called me back to inform that she could locate my laptop and then asked me to do some needful formalities for sending it back to me. ".... My name is Risolene Leal; I flew on your airline from Chennai to Delhi on February 23th, (last week), flight n# 6E 302 departure at 3:55 PM, which arrived in Delhi at 7:25 pm. This was my first trip to India, where I had a great time. I was getting my next flight to Chicago, (USA) American Airline at Delhi airport, at that same night. Anyways, I spent all my cash before I got to the airport in Madras, thinking that I did not need any more Indian cash because I had my credit card with me and I thought it was enough. At Delhi airport, after we landed, I found out that I needed to catch a bus to take me to the international side of the airport and would cost me 25 Rupees. At that point, I did not know what to do, other than look for an ATM machine to get some cash. After trying two machines I found out that my bank in USA blocked my account because in a hurry, I put my password wrong twice. So, there I was, no cash, and thinking: What is next? When your flight attendant, on my right side of this picture, showed up and I looked at her and told her about the situation and she immediately talked to her companion, (the flight attendant next to the captain in this picture). and got back with me with 50 Rupees, and said:" Here, you can have it I was so grateful, so happy; it felt like an angel got there at that exactly moment to rescue me. Thank you flight attendants! I don't even know your names, but I wanted to make sure that the two of you know how thankful I am, and most of all that your company knows about the good qualities of their employees, who are there helping the passengers, even outside of the airlines. I made home safe, and told all my family and friends about this great experience and your wonderful people. . ..."
".... Feedback: This evening my aged mother in law ( Vasanthy Subramanaium) was travelling by 6E381 flight to Chennai at 4/50 and we were terribly concerned as her earlier trip was very pathetic. This time we were lucky I would say to get in touch with Ms Ankitha ( your HYD Airport Staff) and I have just put her a word and to our complete surprise took care of my in law very carefully and ensured that my mother in law reached Chennai and his son ( brother in law) finally accompanied her. She had understood our concerns and right from getting her boarding pass till she reached Chennai Ms Ankitha took great care and we are running out of words to thank her. This is truly a sign of a professional touch shown by your team and we are really proud to have chosen the airline.
