Guangzhou International Airport
Guangzhou International Airport is the primary airport serving the city of Guangzhou. The new airport opened on August 5, 2004, and replaced the old one that was 72 years old with an identical name. It has three runways, at present, the airport can handle 45 million passengers per year.

Visa and immigration
If you’re an Indian passport holder travelling to China for tourism, then you are required to apply for a China visa - L Visa. Your passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of your travel with one blank page.
Likewise, if you are visiting to a specific region of China like Hong Kong, you need a Hong Kong visa, this is because Hong Kong is a special administrative region of China. But remember, Indian passport holders travelling to Hong Kong are required to complete their Pre-arrival registration (PAR) online.
The application usually gets processed within 24 hours, it is however advised that you apply 4 to 6 weeks in advance. Once your application is processed, on each visit, you will be allowed to stay up to 14 days or transit a Hong Kong visa.
Note: HK is a visa-free country for Indians for up to 14 days, after which you need a visa. PAR is not required if you are in direct transit by air and not leaving the airport transit area.
