Taj Mahal’s Indo-Islamic architecture is a marvel even now. In 2007, it was acknowledged as one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and rightly so.
- Along with the Taj Mahal, the Agra Fort is also on the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites. Also known as the Red fort of Agra, it is situated about 2-3 km away from the Taj Mahal. This magnificent structure was commissioned by the Mughal emperor Akbar and is made from red sandstone.
