Goa is a state located in the Konkan region of India's southwest coast, geographically separated from the Deccan highlands by the Western Ghats. Goa is situated between the Indian states of Maharashtra in the north and Karnataka to the east and south. - Panaji: A relaxed state capital, Panaji should be on your list of places to visit in Goa, not just because it's the state capital but also because there are so many locations that would be perfect for an amazing sightseeing tour. This city guarantees you a good time, whether you choose to spend the day at Miramar Beach or take a heritage tour through Fontainhas, the Latin Quarters. The Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, which is nearby, and is home to migrating birds as well as common and unique kinds of marsh-dwelling birds, is another destination for bird enthusiasts.
- Margao: The cultural capital of Goa, Margao is not the kind of place you would want to skip. After seeing the town, you discover it is well deserving of its claim to be Goa's cultural centre. The Municipal Garden, Holy Spirit Church, House of Seven Gables, and Damodar Temple are the town's most notable features and are all well-known tourist attractions. Old Goa has earned a permanent spot on any sightseeing tour thanks to these magnificent works of architecture. The top tourist destinations include buildings like the Basilica of Bom Jesus and Se Cathedral (both UNESCO World Heritage Sites).
- Sanquelim: Full of nature and heritage, the Harvalem caves, Harvalem waterfalls, and Rudreshwar temple are three of Sanquelim's top tourist destinations in Goa. These can be visited in a single trip. The caves include two main caves and a chamber, which were dug out of the Laterite Hill. The Rudreshwar temple, which is near the waterfall, and the Harvalem waterfalls, which are about a kilometre away, are both at their most beautiful during the monsoon season.
