Rajahmundry, also known as Rajamahendri, is also known as the city of poetry and art. It has earned a reputation for being a powerful cultural centre in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh. It is considered by historians to be one of the oldest cities in India and is said to have been born in Telugu - the language of the people of the empire.
