Leonardo da Vinci International Airport and Ciampino Airport

Leonardo da Vinci International Airport is the main airport, which is about 30 km from Rome. The city has a second airport at Ciampino, which receives domestic and a few international flights. It is about 15 km away. You can easily get a bus from both these airports; the bus service in Rome is cheaper and more conveniently accessible. The Leonardo Express train will take you from the airport to the city.

Terminal Information

Leonardo da Vinci Airport has five terminal buildings that handle international and domestic flights. They are terminals A, AA, B, C, and 5. This airport is the largest in Italy and manages several airlines per day. Leonardo da Vinci Airport is easily accessible by bus and train from the city centre.

Ciampino Airport, on the other hand, has only one terminal. Shuttle buses are available to go from the plane to the arrivals area. Ciampino Airport only serves domestic destinations, with a few international routes and chartered flights, since the opening of Leonardo da Vinci Airport.
