All about Dibrugarh
An industrial city, Dibrugarh is located in Assam, it has extensive tea gardens. Dibrugarh is situated 435 km east of Dispur, the capital of Assam. Located on the banks of the River Brahmaputra, this city is also the district headquarters of Dibrugarh.
It has distinct but flourishing flora and fauna, and is also a sort of gateway to India’s top three tea-producing districts. These districts are Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, and Sivasagar, which account for the production of approximately 50% of India’s crop of special Assam tea. This is the reason why Dibrugarh has rightly earned the nickname, Tea City of India.
Dibrugarh also has some famous tourist spots like the Radha Krishna Mandir, which is constructed in marble. Then there is the Hitendranath Baruah Science and Culture Park. The park has life-size animal sculptures. It also features an open-air stage where many shows and events take place.
To the northeast of Dibrugarh, there is the Dibru Saikhowa National Park. The National Park is an island reserve which has many local animals that are specific to the area. But that is not the only attraction of the National Park. The flora of the National Park is home to many migratory birds.
