- Shanti Stupa: Shanti Stupa was constructed by a Japanese Buddhist named Bhikshu Gyomo Nakamura in the year 1991. The magnificent white dome of the Shanti Stupa creates an awe-inspiring sight during full moon nights.
- Nubra Valley: The most beautiful monasteries of Ladakh are in Nubra Valley. This particular tourist spot is situated on the ancient silk route and you can spot the famous Bactrian camel here. The Bactrian camels are one of the rarest animals and were used as a primary source of travel in the silk route. Nubra and Shyok, the two famous rivers of Leh, pass through the gorgeous Nubra Valley.
- Sangam: Located on the Srinagar Highway, Sangam is the meeting point of Rivers Zanskar and Indus. The shiny blue colour of the River Indus and the muddy green colour of the River Zanskar creates a spectacle when they meet at Sangam. The flow of both rivers also changes according to the season.
- Khardung La: Another famous tourist destination of Leh is Khardung La. Also famous as Khardzong La, this high mountain pass was constructed in 1976. Khardung La functions as a gateway between the Nubra and Shyok valleys. It is also the second-highest motorable road in India. - Pangong Lake: Pangong Tso or Pangong Lake is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Leh. Situated 4,350 m above sea level, the most fascinating feature of Pangong Lake is that the colour of the Lake changes from time to time. The temperature of the Pangong Lake remains between -5°C to 10°C throughout the year.
