Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, according to legends, is the place Lord Vishnu has chosen as another destination for Vaikuntha, his heavenly home. It derives its name from the Tirumala Venkateswara temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, located on the nearby hills of Tirumala. Tirupati is also one of the most visited places of worship in the world.
