- Pazhassi Raja Museum and Art Gallery: The Pazhassi Raja Museum exhibits rare, old murals and antiques excavated from several archaeological sites in Kerala. The objects include various temple models, bronze sculptures, burial urns, and old coins from different times and kingdoms, such as the kingdom of Tipu Sultan, Akkal Raja, Mysore, Travancore, as well as old Kochi. Moreover, the museum preserves the artefacts from Megalithic monuments – parts of rock-cut caves and umbrella stones. The art gallery features the paintings of two legendary artists, Raja Ravi Verma, and Raja Raja Verma.
- Indian Business Museum: The Indian Business Museum is located in the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK). The museum represents the rich business history of India and inspires the young generation for business entrepreneurship. The visitors can explore the history of Indian business in chronological order. The museum shows the history of trade in ancient, mediaeval, British era, and post-independence eras. They also educate people about the different sectors, including business, banking, technology, banking sectors, and famous business personalities. The other important section of the museum is the RBI Gallery and the ‘India in Space Gallery’. People will need a gate pass from IIM Kozhikode to visit this museum.
- KIRTADS Ethnological Museum: This museum is an association of KIRTADS — Kerala Institute for Research, Training, and Development Studies of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. It hosts a huge collection of artefacts from the tribal communities of Kerala, such as – handicrafts, utensils, costumes, jewellery, woodcarvings, musical instruments, nets, traps, and agricultural equipment. The museum also exhibits the cultural background of the tribes of Kerala and several ethnographic features. Moreover, people will find data about tribal music and publications here.
- Regional Science Centre and Planetarium: The Science Centre and Planetarium organises more than a thousand shows annually. The children get hands-on experience from this place and it is divided into several sections. The most important sections are the etymology section, science exhibition galleries, 3D theatre, aquarium, travelling, hall of astronomy, human endurance, mirror magic, and mobile science exhibitions. The hall of astronomy consists of four sections – ‘In search of cosmic truth’, ‘Post-telescopic era’, ‘Pre-telescopic era’, and ‘Earth and Moon’. The human endurance section elaborates on the physiological activities of the human body. The planetarium and science centre installed a high-tech projection system from Germany to conduct their shows.
- Tipu’s Fort: Tipu’s Fort is named after Tipu Sultan and was built by his father, Hyder Ali. Once it was a major military camp of Kerala during the British era. It’s also called Palakkad Fort. There is a museum of the Archeological Survey of India within Tipu’s Fort. The fort has an exotic landscape. It also includes a jogging track for jogging activities in the morning and evening time. The fort was built in Hindu-Islamic architectural style.
