About Belagavi
Belgaum or Belagavi is a city in the Indian state of Karnataka. Facing the Western Ghats, it sits near the foothills of the Sahyadri mountain range. Belagavi was founded by the Ratta dynasty in 12th century AD. The city is covered by a canal. Here, Belgaum Fort houses old mosques.
