- Itimad-ud-Daulah's Tomb: The famous mausoleum known as Itimad-ud-Daulah's Tomb is one of the first mausoleums ever built out of white marble in India. Noor Jahan, the wife of the Mughal emperor Jahangir, commissioned this mausoleum in memory of her late father, Mirza Gheyas Beg (also popular as Itimad-ud-Daulah). He was a prominent minister in Shah Jahan's court.
- Agra Fort: This Fort is another well-known example of Agra's magnificent architecture. Constructed of red sandstone in 1638, UNESCO has designated Agra Fort as a World Heritage Site. The vast Agra Fort contains a number of magnificent structures, such as the Jahangiri Mahal, Moti Masjid, Diwan-i Khas, and Diwan-i Aam.
- Jama Masjid: One of the biggest mosques in the country and a magnificent example of Mughal architectural grandeur is the Jama Masjid of Agra, which was constructed in the seventeenth century. Shah Jahan, the Mughal emperor, built this well-known mosque by carving it out through a stunning combination of fine red sandstone and white marble. The centrepiece of the structure, a fountain supported by four kiosks in the courtyard, serves as a prime example of the precise geometry used in Mughal construction.
- Fatehpur Sikri: Fatehpur Sikri is another prominent tourist site in Agra. During the reign of the Mughals, this place was constructed as a walled city. It includes many buildings such as the Tomb of Salim Chisti, Buland Darwaza, Jama Masjid, and Jodha Bai's Palace. Currently, UNESCO has designated the entire town of Fatehpur Sikri as a World Heritage Site. The Imperial Complex at Fatehpur Sikri is a combination of pavilions built in exquisite geometry on a setting that was designed to resemble tent cities in the Middle East and Central Asia.
