About Goa

- Fort Aguada: Built in the 17th century, Fort Aguada is the prominent Portuguese architecture that was built to provide defence from invaders. This grand old fort is among the famous sightseeing places in Goa with the pleasant views of the confluence of Mandovi River and the Arabian Sea. It also houses an old lighthouse that was built in 1864. The fort is also an excellent place to gain knowledge and learn about the Portuguese rule in the state.
- Dudhsagar Falls: Apart from the stunning Portuguese architecture and lovely beaches Goa also houses beautiful natural places such as Dudhsagar falls. These majestic falls are one of the tallest waterfalls in India with the height of up to 1017 feet. The trek to the lower waterfall can be challenging and difficult, but it will be worth it when you reach the beautiful place.
- Anjuna Beach: Anjuna Beach is counted among the glorious beaches in Goa, which is suitable for adventure-filled as well as quiet family vacation. - Naval Aviation Museum: The Naval Aviation museum is counted among the the best military museums in India. It is also a great place for educational purposes. The museum houses several old aircrafts that were used by the Indian Navy and played an important part in naval warfare while in service. There is a large gallery inside which tells about the stories of different battles that the Indian Navy have been a part of.

Goa Airport also known as Dabolim International Airport is the 9th biggest airport in India that is operated by the Airports Authority of India along with the Indian Navy. The Goa International Airport is located in Dabolim, Goa and the IATA code is GOI. It also serves as a strategic airbase for the Indian Navy named INS Hansa. Every year, the airport handles a considerable number of domestic and international flights and has the capacity to handle up to 9 million passengers. From November to May, Goa handles various seasonal flights from Europe, primarily from England and Russia.
