- Humayun’s Tomb – It is an architectural marvel surrounded by lush greenery, Humayun’s Tomb was commissioned by Haji Begum, emperor Humayun’s first wife and chief consort, in the year 1569-70.
- Red Fort – Built in 1948 by Emperor Shah Jahan, Red Fort stands as a symbol of the Mughal era in India. The fascinating light and sound show is held here every evening and is a popular attraction of the tourists.
- Qutab Minar – The tallest minaret in India, perfectly displaying the brilliance of Mughal architecture was built in 1193 by Qutab-ud-Din Aibak to celebrate the defeat of the last Hindu ruler and the beginning of Muslim dominance in Delhi.
- Lotus Temple, Akshardham Temple and Lodhi Gardens are some of the other iconic tourist attractions.

- Sarojini Market - famous for fashion accessories, kitchenware, household items, handicrafts, and electronics this is one of the most affordable local markets in Delhi.
- Palika Bazaar - located in Connaught Place, this is a one-stop destination for shopaholics. The fully air-conditioned shopping plaza has an array of shops selling fashion accessories, customised perfumes, footwear, electronics and handicrafts at affordable prices.
- Khan Market – a great place to buy high-quality clothes, fashion jewellery, home furnishings, books, sports items and musical instruments.
- Select Citywalk – located in the Saket region this is an upscale, vibrant shopping complex housing numerous high street brands. It stocks everything, from apparel to footwear and fashion accessories.

The months between February and March or October and November are best suited for a comfortable stay and sightseeing in Delhi.

Delhi Metro is the fastest way to travel across the city. DTC buses (AC & Non-AC), auto-rickshaws and cycle rickshaws are economical and convenient modes of transport as well. You can also hire private/shared cabs to explore Delhi.

Delhi has extreme weather conditions. Summers are too hot with the temperature soaring as high as 45-degree Celsius, winters on the other hand, can be a bit harsh with the temperature dropping below the freezing point occasionally.
