Places to visit in Tel Aviv
Every single place in Tel Aviv will mesmerise you in its own way, each different from the other. And, these are some tourist places worth visiting:
- Jaffa (Yafo): Jaffa, also known as Yafo, is an ancient port city out of which Tel-Aviv has grown. In recent years, the southern part of this city has been regenerated. Today, the old narrow pathways are a highly desirable part of Tel Aviv’s urban tapestry. The old narrow passages in the Old City on the other hand are a world away from modernity.
- Eretz Israel Museum: It’s a building complex representing a planetarium and pavilion. The pavilions display the history of writing, science, ethnography, and folklore. The museum is the third largest, comprising 15 buildings.
- The Ilana Goor Museum: It works as a gallery and also as a private home of the artist. The house is a gem, with all the eclectic collections of famous Israeli Sculptor Ilana Goor with Old Jaffa as a background storyline and setting. The walls are decorated with over 500 art pieces. It allows you to view a work from an artist's point of view.
- St. Peter’s Church: This church sits at the top of Jaffa Mound and has been serving as a hidden gem for thousands of years. The church is named after Saint Peter and offers a mesmerising view of the ancient architecture.
