Tourist attractions in Tirupati
- Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple - Being amongst the biggest temple complexes in the city, it is visited by lots of pilgrims every year. This seven-storied temple has Dravidian-style architecture and is a wonderful place to visit.
- Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple - This is the most-visited place of worship, famed for Tirumala Temple, or Tirupati Balaji. It is also one of the richest and most esteemed pilgrimage centres and Hindu shrines in the world.
- Sri Venkateswara National Park - Be it waterfalls, verdant valleys, vegetation, landscape or wildlife, this park has it all. It covers an area of around 354 sq. km and is home to endangered and exotic species like hyena, nilgai, golden gecko, and treeshrew. The best time to visit the city is November- February.
- Srivari Museum - To learn about the past of bygone eras, this museum is the place to be. It showcases the history of the temple at Tirumala with various scriptures, artefacts, photographs, and sculptures.
- Srikalahasti Temple - This ancient shrine is known for worshipping Lord Shiva as a personification of five elements. This is one of the most respected and admired temples in South India.
