All about Dammam
The sixth largest city and capital of the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was established in 1932. The life of many settlements in the Dammam depended on fishing and pearls. During the period of more than half of the century, the development of the region as a center of industry, commerce and science, and about five lakh people started living here. Oil discovery transformed the volume of trade in the region.
The Eastern Province located at the apex of one of the world's largest oil reserves and was where only Aramco, the predecessor of Saudi Arabia's national oil company Saudi Aramco, dug the famous Dammam Well No.7 in 1936. Apart from this the city offers beautiful historical and cultural sights, amusement parks, green spaces, gardens and museums; amazing outdoor life makes it a great holiday destination. Airport in Dammam
King Fahd International Airport or simply Dammam Airport is one of the three primary international airports in Saudi Arabia. It serves the entire Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. There are three terminals of the airport and 31 km away from downtown.
